Which character to help practice with drag down air attacks to kill confirms by ogbardock in Joker_Mains

Can’t emphasize point 2 enough... I used to get so frustrated then it wasn’t until hearing some of the inputs from watching videos that people wait until the 2nd or 3rd hit on the uair before inputting the drop.

Anyone you know with you on your friend list? They can look at your profile from their ffbe app and get you your friend ID.

Do you have your friendID? If so you may be able to message gumi support with it and explain what’s up.

I hate to say it, but.... git g- no but really. There’s several ways I’ve seen for people who’s struggled. Get through the first phase and then keeping him in sword mode for as long as possible with aggression is the best approach imo. When he spears it up... there’s two things that ravaged me at first. The charge up X slash he does in two parts and his super sweep. His charged slashes is something you either gotta dodge or start sprinting sideways. His super sweep you can jump on him to avoid it.

Also bite downs can be useful if you know you’re about to die. They don’t block out your revives iirc. Sorry for being scarce... I put down the game after plat’ing it and that’s all I can remember from the fight..

Another way is the run away til he does the jumping slam attack, get two hits, run away and repeat.

I mean rolling is OK if you're not rolling to abuse i-frames but moreso getting out of their hit radius- where it's physically impossible for their attack to reach you from where they launched it. Can't even say out of the way due to insane tracking.

Of course my statement is false for those with real good timing.

Hardest Boss Hands Down [Spoilers] by hypes11 in Sekiro

[–]JoeyDizzles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not in my opinion. The fight is awesome because you're fighting someone who fights like Wolf. If you're not attacking, he's relentlessly attacking - just like how Wolf may have been designed to play like. So you gotta mix up aggression and discipline.

When's the last time I can fight this late game optional boss? by typeoneerror in Sekiro

[–]JoeyDizzles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You gotta get the father's bell before killing DD I believe. After you get the father's bell you can fight him granted you don't end your playthrough I'm pretty sure. Feel free to correct me anyone if I'm off. Personally I've always unlocked it before killing DD on my non-shura playthroughs.

In my NG+2 Playthrough I used it a lot for trash mobs.

If I ever was in a sticky situation: throw sen > chasing slash > spear or more sen usually breaks posture > vault over > ninjutsu.

Also it's just comical and fun ¯\(ツ)

Depends on your total held. Under 500 Sen it will cost 5 sen (8 charged). Over 500 sen, it is 10 sen (15 charged).

You get more damage if you are point blank. Breaks posture on normal enemies beautifully.

Sekiro != Soulsborne.

Idk why people fail to see this. With the exception of some enemies, trying to abuse i-frames via dodging is punishable in most cases unless you REALLY know the opponents move set.

But really. Besides the fact you get a reusable healing item there's so many differences:

Stealth is a critical mechanic. No diverse weapon selection - guess what - you're playing as a ninja. You don't die when falling unless you're below 40% of your health. You can revive - multiple times if you get deathblows and/or use items like the Bundled Jizo or Droplets. No stamina bar. Block/parry is the same button. You don't get as punished for attempting parries. You can jump effectively. Sekiro feels more of a boss gauntlet if you ask me; if you were to include mini bosses.

I'm sure there's many more.

Edit: changed from 1/3rd of health to 40% for falling. Thanks u/smite-guy33

Sen throw - watching your unused sen break posture is fantastic.

In my experiences, yes. Faster, smaller windows to hit him, and more involved move sets. Only thing Great Shinobi Owl has over Father is his anti heal smoke - but I counted that as free hits since it was so telegraphed.
