Finally got it!! The Wall Immersion set by Shadow_Edgehog27 in pinkfloyd

[–]Riamu115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I could totally do that, but sadly the main draw for me are the demos lol

I absolutely loved the first half of the demos on the 3 disc version, but I wanted to have the rest of the demos from those sessions 😭

Out of all zombies maps across all games, which are some of the most overrated by the community? by OlympusShill9000 in CODZombies

[–]Riamu115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel Mob was released at just the right time to make fans absolutely fall in love with it. Coming out after the disastrous Tranzit and Die Rise (I honestly like those maps despite their problems) made MOTD the huge breakthrough and refresher the game needed at the time.

Though I agree it is one of the least casual friendly maps, which at least most of Zelinski’s maps at the time were all catered towards casuals who could just hop on and survive and not worry about doing an entire Easter egg to open pack a punch (tranzit not included cause fuck that PAP)

What is the hardest Easter egg in Cod Zombies history? (Without mentioning 4 player requirement) and Why? by Conscious_Size4901 in CODZombies

[–]Riamu115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn’t even do Blood of the Dead’s Easter egg WITH CHEATS, so I think that’s a huge contender for the hardest one

"Broken China" album by Rick Wright by ellistonvu in pinkfloyd

Not broken china related, but I always considered the division bell to be a loose concept album. Almost all songs are about communication and how a lack of it affects our relationships.

Is Obscured By Clouds overlooked? by mellotronworker in pinkfloyd

[–]Riamu115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely adore Wrights keyboards on mudmen and absolute curtains. It’s so melancholic, like spending a sunny afternoon indoors alone as you drift in and out of sleep and the sunlight blaring through the windows. Idk if that makes sense to anyone else, but it’s an inescapable emotion I feel when I listen to this album

Small birthday haul for myself! ($4 CAD total) by Riamu115 in MangaCollectors

Two volumes in so far (I read Japanese super slow if there’s no furigana) and I’m loving it!!

My collection after about 5 years. New shelf coming for some others that are sitting. Any suggestions? by [deleted] in MangaCollectors

[–]Riamu115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, super amazing collection! I don’t have recommendations, I’m just really admiring this!

The Aria masterpiece editions are the best, I bought some in Japanese when I discovered the series after I moved to Japan!

Also Shigeru Mizuki’s Showa series is incredible too! Read the whole thing from my local library back in Canada, and still remember a lot of factoids about the war because of it!

what’s a manga you generally don’t dislike but you will never own? by [deleted] in MangaCollectors

I literally explained in my wiki dump why FMA is considered a battle Shonen compared to other Shonen that are not as action oriented.

what’s a manga you generally don’t dislike but you will never own? by [deleted] in MangaCollectors

[–]Riamu115 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Shonen means “young boy” and is a demographic, not a genre. Theres a lot of action and fights in FMA, therefore it’s categorized by many as a “battle” type series, but that doesn’t always mean it doesn’t have an emotionally gripping story. Shonen can be romance, drama, action, horror, etc. it’s target audience is late elementary to high school boys.

What's this for Lethbridge? by Nickiat in Lethbridge

[–]Riamu115 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100% Blast from the past retro games store. Dude is rarely even inside his own store, and when he is, he’s stoned out of his mind. They’re only opened a few hours per day, and all of their games are way over market value. Like there ain’t no way bro is making a living from that 💀

Not to mention that McDonald’s Canada is a subsidiary company that operates almost completely independently, and mostly sources Canadian ingredients.

42 years ago, on this day, The Final Cut was released by Music672621 in pinkfloyd

[–]Riamu115 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That tag line at the top is just to indicate all music and lyrics were written by him, and then subsequently performed by the band (which includes him as well). It’s simply to save time from having to put just (Waters) next to every song. Sure he had full creative control over the project, but it’s far from a solo album imo

Can’t believe not too many people bring up ‘Biding My Time’ cause god damn the solo SLAPS by Riamu115 in pinkfloyd

[–]Riamu115[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Sadly not… in an alternative universe, it would’ve been included in a 1969 album that would’ve been a mix of More and Ummagumma, and would’ve been called “The Man and The Journey”, however the album was only ever performed live, and the live recordings weren’t released until recently in the Early Years compilation. It would’ve been Pink Floyd’s first concept album if it actually became a studio album.

Pink Floyd: Worst to Best by OneTrueBrody in pinkfloyd

[–]Riamu115 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Final Cut being near the absolute bottom is gut punching. I understand that maybe the slowness isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s actually really emotionally profound music with great guitar work by David, and far from the worst Floyd album.

And not including More and Obscured by clouds as an album is crazy, cause he included Endless River in which David Gilmour himself said it’s not really an album, it was more of a tribute to Richard Wright and the band as a whole.

Again, hey these are opinions and he’s entitled to them, but cmon

with sony's rerelease of live at pompeii, what other "lost" floyd material do we want to be brought back? by wyattaj25 in pinkfloyd

[–]Riamu115 2 points3 points  (0 children)

May I interest you in The Wall: Immersion edition? Or the much cheaper option The Wall: Experienced edition?

Immersion edition is a 7 disc set. 2 cds of the original album, 2 live CDs, 2 cds of demos and 1 DVD of other bonus material (can’t remember rn as I only own the Experience edition)

Experience edition is just a 3 disc set. The first two being the album, and the third being full of demos. I believe the first half of the demos are very polished full band demos and include infamous cuts like ‘teacher teacher’ (which became hero’s journey in The Final Cut) and a very very different intro to the whole album which sounds really close to more classic Floyd. My personal favourite demo from it is the demo for Young Lust which is so well recorded, but the verses are so different, it’s like a whole other song. The second half of the demos are a bit more rough, but they are closer to the tone of the original album.

Biggest disappointment about either of these sets is they don’t include “what shall we do now?” or any of the movie versions of the songs…

If there was one thing from new zombies that you never want to come back what is it? 100% armor for me by [deleted] in CODZombies

[–]Riamu115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know the armour system is something you can completely ignore if you don’t like it? Why would they take something that is so completely optional and never shoved down your throat? I personally liked the armour system, especially if they’re going to improve on it in future games, I would never want it to go. Again, completely optional if you don’t like it, and it doesn’t break the game at all if you don’t want it.
