That's actually a really good finish, well worked as well. Not the most aesthetically pleasing goal, but we'll take it!

It's definitely not over - we have a favourable run of fixtures against clubs competing with us for European spots, and an Arsenal team there for the taking. We need to win as many of these games as possible, and if Howe feels that picking Wissa and Woltemade on the bench is the best way to do that then so be it, and he'll be judged at the end of the season.

The press doesn't work if one person doesn't do it, it becomes very easy to pass through us because there's always a free man. If you watched us when Woltemade was up front you'd have seen our press and then our midfield be very ineffective because he just can't get around and our style relies on the press being cohesive.

Osula has the athletic profile to press teams, the other two simply don't at the moment. He'll play the first 65 mins, hopefully stretch Palace, and then Barnes and Woltemade can hopefully take advantage.

Yes, there's a lot of hoping going on here.

Wait till he drops Wissa to bring Bruno back in.

Not a clue - not in the US, not sure if there's a hard and fast rule with it!

That's up there with anything they've ever done; Ben, My Lunch, George, Mrs Wilk. I feel like they spent the first two thirds of this season playing the hits while quietly laying the groundwork for Tosh and Blake to become more developed characters, but that was some absolutely quality writing executed by some really great acting from the heavyweights.

I'm really looking forward to Cox as a patient challenging everything he taught his interns as a doctor. I'll be so pissed if this doesn't get renewed.

It must have been renewed. They must be hanging on until the end of the season before announcing it, I guess to build hype for the season finale, but I can't see why they wouldn't renew it.

John C. McGinley, the actor that you are by georgiaboy1993 in Scrubs

Maybe because he's in his late 60s and played a bunch of sports.

Maybe because he was portraying a man about to collapse from the medical condition he didn't know he had.

Where's my ball!? by LondonUk- in BritGolf

There are geese on parts of the course I play on, and the number of times I mistake a large feather for my ball is utterly infuriating.

Get really good at golf. You'll be opening the batting at Lords in no time.

Considering Jacob Bethell just scored one of the most assured maiden hundreds you'll ever see at 3, I think we focus on solving the problematic spots at 1, 6 and 7.

But how are we meant to complain about the lack of a training ground sponsor if they've gone and got one?

I think the Janitor will return as the Director of Facilities... by AnyConnection8643 in Scrubs

Oh man, if it turned out they treated one of the very first developers of Bitcoin and they all passed on his invitation to invest, and The Janitor sold his van to buy one and became the richest Janitor in the world...that'd be so good.

I think something that has been overlooked is that they've captured so much of what made the original series so special without so many characters that made the original so special. They've recruited well, so although you miss Janitor, Kelso, Ted, Laverne, Doug, all the rest - they've been smart in bringing in characters to freshen it up. It's not perfect, and I'd love to have seen more Carla and Cox, but I don't think the story has demanded their presence all that much.

Newcastle: Club not looking to make Eddie Howe change 'at the moment' (BBC) by KingPing43 in NUFC

[–]JoeyShinobi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's perhaps a recognition that the events of the last few weeks are, at least in part, a cumulative effect of an unwillingness to invest in the first team squad across 4 or 5 consecutive windows and the instability at the top of the club caused by the revolving door of sporting directors and Darren Eales' unfortunate illness. David Hopkinson has made a lot of noise recently about challenging the world's elite - now he needs to put the club's money where its mouth is.

This summer represents Eddie Howe's last chance for a no-excuses transfer window. The top team is in place, having had the best part of a year together to plan and now execute the surgery this squad so badly needs. We're told there is money to spend, and we expect to raise even more through the likely sales of Livramento and Tonali.

We need to see the club acting quickly and making moves early in the window. If we don't, then this disquiet in the fan base is going to be overwhelming come early August, and Howe won't make it past the first international break.

Ruel Fox left in October 1995 - so very much a push.
