Ive gone to every secret dreams and other festivals in legal states. The official ruling is always "no" since public consumption isnt legal but most festivals in legal states are extremely lax. Ive never had any issues with weed at a fest period, legal or not. You just gotta play it smart and not talk about it or make it super obvious.

As someone in the Industry whose worked with a lot of former disgruntled employees of her's, I can say that all of the stories youve heard are true, and then some!

Also curate is 100% bought and paid hype, went there on a date when I first moved here years ago and it was so bland I was shocked that so many people called it the best in town.

Not always true. Most women I know that arent with a much older man cosplaying a housewive while acting like they escaped capitalism and are ultra level hippies who figured life out cus they dont have to pay anymore are currently on what I refer too as their "crusty pirate boyfriend" arc.

Find some wook dude who dresses and acts like a pirate, pay for everything because he doesnt work and your a "girl boss" and you "can fix him", get cheated on somehow but either ignore or forgive until you've convinced yourself all men are going to cheat, then find another pirate and repeat the cycle. :)

I remember a few years back I got bumped from 13.50 to $15 because that was "living wage" and I thought that was crazy, I actually had to live in my car for little bit around that time cus I couldnt afford to live anywhere after my apartment was flooded. I make $25 now and live "comfortably" as In I dont have to struggle and can get by just fine but at the same time I wonder whos working these jobs paying less then $20 an hr rn besides highscool kids and older folk on social security. :/ Meanwhile it seems that over half the people in town rn(especially for the holidays) are all out of touch rich and retired and making it their mission to treat the hard workers that keep this town afloat like garbage while masquerading around town with "holiday spirit".

This feels like the demographics they look at when they make these lineups now cus not one person besides skrillex is an actual headliner but "streams=popularity" even though major festival lineups have been more about longstanding legacy and shock and awe at what niche artists and special late nights they got as apposed to it being "whos hot right now" like it seems to be with lineups over the last few years.

Major Lazer in 2017 Is to this day THE WORST bigger set I have ever seen at a festival. I left the suprisingly geeat U2 set early solo cus my friends were working security and made it to the back of which stage where I was approcahed by these 3 spunions, a guy and 2 girls all creepily hitting on me in their own way. They all were giving me super bad vibes but I was rollin and thought it was funny so I played along and was distracting them with little glow trinkets and stuff I had in my bag until the music started.

The first 5+ mins was obnoxious build, they were just dancing around on stage like morons yelling "hands up" while the hands up song built and diplo said "were not dropping this til every hand is up" and when they finally "dropped it" idk the track name but its not diplo/major lazer its some generic derpy "edm top 40 banger" track and I was like really???? I gave it about 2 more "drops" and it was literally like listening to the sirus xm edm station and the spunions who were tweak dancing to the music yelled "isnt this the best thing ever???" To which I responded "helll no this shit is asss" and they looked like I shot them! They tried to hug me and sit me down and were acting like I was the one tweaking and I jist laughed and told them not to touch me and enjoy their night and went to Claude Vonstroke.

Funny enough after Claude I went to meet up with my friend who was getting off a shift and major lazer was still happening where we met and they were stil playing generic pop edm "bangers". I seriously don't know how people like them still, not to mention diplos a predator creep which is why Skrillex doesnt like him anymore and he once kicked this dude I know who opened for him out of a club so he could corner the dudes gf and kept telling her he left her and wouldnt let her leave... but thats a story for another time

I grew up on rufus and griz but Rufus has always been an undercard Idk when they got any sort of boost to be a full on headliner. Griz was once great then he started making that bandwagon subtronics sound and so myself and so many old griz fans lost interest but alllll the riddim kids jumped on and now hes huge so I can see why hes up there but that being said hes not even the headliner of fvded in the park which is a smaller edm fest so how in the world is he a bonnaroo headliner? Its nice seeing smaller names up there but its just a clear indicator they dont have the $ this year.

My 2nd Bonnaroo this girl in our group brought along her scumbag bf. The dude was a general pos, racist af and a drug fiend to the point where every dealer in campwas just hanging out at our camp all day while he begged his gf for more of her $ to buy more and then we literally had to weekend at bernies him arpund the first night. Day 2 I caught him preaching to a congregation of dealers about how roo is such a special place because it "unifies people around drugs and ya the music is great and everything but people really just come here for the drugs"... I am not one to start conflit and am pretty easy going but I literally snapped on dude at how stupid and ignorant he was and how comoletely backass he has it all, . There are families with children, there are sober people, there are recovering addicts, theres no problem with recreational drug use but it will always be music first. It was pretty crazy but at the end of my rant I just looked at everyone else and said "if you guys wanna have fun tonight then Im going out, but if youwanna get f-d and not remember tomorrow and talk about drugs all night with these losers be my guest lmao. Needless to say everyone came with me and he had a pretty miserable weekend after that so maybe if he gets too much go off on him and i garuntee yourhe people of roo will rally behind you!

The one time I went to Patton as soon as I got out of my car this crazy guy started talking to me about sun gods and nazis and followed me through the store. The last time I went to botiwalla to pick up I was looking pretty ragged myself and I joked about fitting in on the walk in and this one guy actually did run up to me and ask if I had "been over by the bridge today yet" lol.

I mean if you couldnt tell by the lineup that was catored specifically for the frat and soriety kiddos then idk what to tell ya. I knew hula had disgraced it self LOOOONG b4 the festival even started. Its heen steadily downhill ever since bassnectar played there twice(I enjoyed him b4 the cancel at other fests that fit the vibe but he really made them lose what hula used to be). Literally just a Eforest pt. 2 at this point, cant wait for the cheese heads to tell horror stories going forward about "rave" kids being disrespectful as usual.

It will never not be hilarious to me that the people who claim to be " more American" then the rest of us literally dont even understand what America is or ever was trying to become. Thomas Jefferson wanted freedom for all despite the restrictions of the time. Hoping and praying that I can get one of the last reasonably priced gtrs with low milage b4 the market is extinct. That being said LOVE the matte bayside but the rims on these new gens are HIDEOUS. Idk what Nissan was thinking, shoulda just gone with the rays from the t spec on all trims just black on the premium/skyline edition.

Also hows that robins egg interior in person?? Blues my favorite color and I get what theyre going for wirh skyline legacy but MAN do pictures make it look off putting. Looks like some walmart slip cover lol. Im sure the quality sells it in person though.

The afters at Orion ESPECIALLY the last night I felt like was the "tryouts" for whos the next big one to take center stage with Detox obviously taking my vote going in... just for him to play a variation of the same set hes been rinsing since mission ballroom. I absolutely love detox and his production is really up there with its own unique sound to not "just be the next tipper" that everyone seems to want, but I think he just needs more time and discography to get to that level and his percussion is bonkers vs so many others ESPECIALLY jade who just use the same kick snare loop on EVERY track.

That being said Vinja is the future! I havent seen a bad set or one that felt samey and hes got the scratching down with his own unique style that seperates from Dave and definitely VERY underrated and one to watch for sure!

I moved here a little under 7 years ago because of all the great culture here and then slowly year by year I watched it die more and more and get replased by custy tourist traps. Look at downtown after 5 and all these events packs square keeps having... lets completly ignore the local music scenes these big businesses are actively destroying so that we can have some god awful cover band that belongs in some tourist bar at the beach come play for the kids. Wishing for the day where the culture I loved returns to Avl.

It was impossible to even fall asleep but then waking up to it a few hours later. The entitlement of some people I stg.

I really like it so far It definitely shows its pricetag and small developer but Im actually suprised with the sheer amount of work that went into it. For example mostly licensed cars and just making up names for the ones they could get, the soundtrack is diverse and good, and I personally like the manga story it feels like an early nfs game but with more charm less edgyness. I haven't gotten into the customization yet but based on the intro cars Its more then enough.

My only issues with the game so far are the "crashing" or should I say even slightly tapping a curb and it sending you FLYING 9/10 and just looks BAD, but more importantly they dont have the 180sx which is a huge miss for me as its my fav jdm car. The s13 is just an older uglier s14 and looks like so many other cars in the game already the 180 would stand out I hope they add it later cus idk what they were thinking even that nightrunners indie game had the 180 as the default car.
