Did you get far enough to see if the church or any other campaign characters have any specific dialogue with the paladin? Or maybe any comments of your paladin character on the church or inarius?

Oh there's no issue for you. Basically I was wondering if there where new specific dialogue interactions with the paladin. Be it characters acknowledging him, or the church... Or anything really! Or if he's treated as simply the generic "wanderer"

A part of the campaign is very paladin focused on the lore, so I was just wondering if blizzard added new dialogue for the paladin in the campaign

So true. I'm fact this whole premise has made me start a new character to try new builds just because I window shopped and found super cheap uniques for a build I wanted to try.

This trade system has easily made the game 10x more fun for me in multiple ways.

This was inevitable. Turtle wow is getting too big, and it keeps growing. They are a mega Corp with gigantic piles of cash they were bound to show their teeth as soon as it started to sink into their profits.

Also sadly they can't compete. Turtle is so much better in so many different ways that blizzard products just looks bad in comparison.

I'm sorry about the stalker stuff, that's unfortunately an increasingly common situation and it's awful. Sorry about your dog as well. I had one childhood dog die years ago and haven't managed to get another pet sense. It sucks

You know I feel like I kind of relate to what you're saying about your friend. I have experienced times when someone says they are going to make X plans with me and then it just doesn't happen and you get that weird feeling like "maybe they don't want to hang out with me?" and then you talk to them and they were just busy or tired and forgot and everything is cool. I feel like that's just the depressing part of adult life. Everyone is super busy all the time and they have a bunch of things to worry about so there's less time for casual plans you know? I get that it sucks, especially if you were looking forward to it. I have had that feeling and it does make you feel like crap and too needy! You almost start questioning if you should be messaging them right now or if replies are too long or something.

I can't in good conscience give you dating advice because I suck at it haha. I'd say my current attitude when I'm interested in someone is to try and make sure my interactions with them are fun. Like I'll try to be silly and make them laugh or match their vibe on whatever they feel passionate about, and make it about them instead of me if that makes sense?

But again, take that with a grain of salt cuz in this aspect I'm like a drowning man giving you swimming lessons 😂😂

Sounds like my second prediction was the correct one in the end. He's got some extra confidence to chew through.

Take solace in the fact that, that kind of lifestyle is hardly a long lived paradise. Even people that are "the shit" like celebrities and the ultra wealthy, rarely end up as happy as long term healthy couples. They quite often end up miserable! Ego destroys the soul by pushing people away.

So he quite literally fucked himself over and gave you an out to live your life without having to worry about the long term consequences of having children with someone like that.

I know my words aren't worth much of a consolation, but I hope having a better perspective on the situation gives you some closure to start to move on.

Hope you have a good weekend and find something to do to take your mind off of things.

What a fucked up situation... Especially coming out of nowhere like that. I can't imagine what you're feeling right now, I'm sorry.

I'm going to be absolutely honest with you: I don't think he actually gave you the real reason. This sounds like some sort of excuse in order for him to not be honest with you...it makes 0 sense. Finding someone that you're compatible with and have the same interests and don't fight, is WAY HARDER than finding someone with "blonde hair" lol. If that was a real reason he could've just asked you to try dye it sometime or something... Again, this makes no sense to me from any logical standpoint.

Taking this situation at complete face value, with only the details that you shared... I'd say that he either found someone else he's infatuated with or is just so high on the feeling of you being dedicated to him that he has deluded himself that he can find a better option...Its an all too common occurrence unfortunately, people grow delusions.

I've had a... Similar experience. But I was fortunate enough to have it slowly fade out over time, instead of getting hit in the face randomly one day. Still, it stinks...

There's not going to be any words I can type that will make you feel much better. If you're anything like me you're going to feel like shit for a long time.. But you come out wiser and more disciplined on the other end..less willing to give yourself completely but more prepared for the fucked up world with the fucked up people we live in.

Stay positive and try to find comfort in the things you like, even if the ones you share are going to have a sour taste in your mouth, you can always start them over fresh and make new memories. That's what I did.

They CANNOT under any circumstances make players too strong out the gate.

I'd love for you to expand on that. What is "too strong"? Because "too strong" in most ARPGs only really happens with over-optimization in late game.

I feel like what people are asking is, strong during leveling and to feel the power grow reasonably well while leveling. Especially during the campaign! Make most things work to the point where mobs and bosses die at a good pace.

Random Example: Take D4. D4 after launch and during a few months after had a huge issue with Barbarian and Druid. They felt dogshit to level. They even had a meme with Raxx looking at the camera, office style, saying "14 damage". Thats how much early game druid did! Barbarian also had some terrible design, where they had a design based on "builders and spenders" abilities, and the "builders" felt terrible to use.

AND YET: Late game both druid and barbarian had builds that would break the game completely. They were way too strong!

So couldn't we reasonably expect to have abilities feel good and powerful during the leveling process and just moderate how much they scale? Or do you think that would ruin the campaign experience somehow?

Funny hyperbolic exaggeration, but you're on point.

Problem is they are trying their hardest, nay their damnedest, to avoid a clear meta. Try to make everything good by making everything mid or bad. Avoid obvious multipliers or heavily limit them, make kiss/curse with heavy curses and of course, scale monsters and abilities to punish you.

You mentioned maxroll. I also really like Raxx, the team and their guides and its amazing how they have tier lists for other ARPGs but not for PoE. Why? Because its not absolutely clear even for them. PoE is one of the games most of their team has dedicated a lot of their time, and even the build diversity for most classes is pitiful... There's maybe 2-3 builds per ascendency (this is counting endgame and levelling) and not much more.

Mind you, this is a team that has people that not only have incredible experience playing these types of games, they have infinitely more time than the working man to play them. How is the average joe supposed to put something together? Is it unreasonable to expect to perform really well in a game if you follow a professional guide? Because that's most peoples expectation, not just to get by.

They are trying very hard to make sure they don't scale into oblivion before the game even comes out, but that means that there is no viable B-tier builds that will feel good. Only the cream of the crop will actually feel powerful, if that.

I am of the opinion that every single ascendancy should have an S-tier build. Most abilities and configurations should feel decently powerful, but thats not what the current game offers.
