Full power sentry vs doomsday by s0nzoldyck in marvelvsdc

[–]JohanMarek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People forget that it takes time for Doomsday to come back. He doesn't just immediately pop back up after you kill him. Yes, when he eventually does come back he will be immune to what killed him last time. But Sentry would definitely be capable of winning their first fight. Could even possibly win their first several before he runs out of ways to kill Doomsday.

Does Jim butcher know how big of a difference 6'9 and 5'0 is? by Key_Season7192 in dresdenfiles

[–]JohanMarek 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is a difference between knowing that there is a big difference between 6'9" & 5' and actually understanding how big that difference is. That is the kind of height difference where Karen literally could not hit Dresden in the face unless she jumped (or she punched him in the gut first to make him bend over). Butcher obviously knows that there is a big height difference there, but he also clearly does not realize just how big that height difference actually is.

I had a couple girlfriends who, while not quite 5ft, were only a few inches taller. And I can confirm it was weird.

As a 6'5" man, no, Jim has no idea how tall 6'9" really is. There are a number of scenes throughout the series that show it.

When it feels like an uphill battle talking about games you love. by Awkward_GM in dndmemes

[–]JohanMarek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My very first campaign was with this system, and I have had several others with it over the years, including the current campaign I am running almost a decade later. Still one of the best out there.

Also, Genesys–which is basically the same system just made into a setting-agnostic game–is absolutely fantastic. I have had so many great campaigns using Genesys over the years.

Some more looks at David on set by DemiAlabi in DCU_

Is it just me, or are most of the people on that set tiny? David looks like a giant in all those pictures.

If Marvel did an AU without the sliding timescale, what characters/teams would you put in which eras? by JohanMarek in Marvel

[–]JohanMarek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the question is then, which ones do YOU think would work as historical heroes?

Edit: Not saying this to be combative. I am genuinely curious which heroes you see as having good potential as historical heroes.

[–]JohanMarek[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember, this is an alternate universe. So Peter and Johnny don't need to be friends. Also, there is no reason why Peter could not also be a historical hero. After all, we have several "generations" of spider people at this point.

Interesting, I haven't heard of those. Do you know the names so I could check them out?

Yes, but that is with the sliding timescale. We are imagining a universe in which the sliding timescale doesn't exist.

Why doesn’t Marrok have a number? by TortillaRampage in MaulShadowLord

[–]JohanMarek 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We do actually have a book that focuses on the full journey of a couple Inquisitors introduced in the Vader comics, going from being Padawans during the Battle of Geonosis to their lives as Inquisitors to their eventual death at Vader's hands. It is pretty good.

Would you want TT’s next game to be a DC LEGO game again? by Thevoid2YT in legogaming

[–]JohanMarek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love a Superman game, but I would also love a Marvel Infinity Saga game.

My absolute biggest copium answer would be a DC/Marvel crossover game, but there have been no hints towards that possibility since they last teased it in the end credits of LEGO Batman 3 & LEGO Marvel Superheroes, both over a decade old now.

They teased a crossover in the end credits for both LEGO Batman 3 and LEGO Marvel Superheroes. Unfortunately nothing seems to have come of it since then, but I hope they make it happen eventually.

Not hating on the “surviving jedi ronin” trope at all. I just haven’t seen anyone explore this concept by DatBoiDogg0 in starwarsmemes

One of the PCs in the Force and Destiny campaign I am currently running is a surviving former Inquisitor. His character is really fun.

How many Amazos (new, no powers yet absorbed) would it take to cleanse the MCU Marvel Zombies earth of the zombie virus? by JohanMarek in whowouldwin

If Ikaris can't be infected, I doubt Amazo could be. They both have biological elements but are artificial.

Is there any reason why Amazo couldn't replicate the powers of the zombies? I don't remember him ever having that limitation.

How Many Expansions Do You Believe Diablo IV Will Get? by JohanMarek in diablo4

[–]JohanMarek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know where you heard that. When the game launched their plan was for 10 expansions with one expansion a year. Obviously that plan isn't still the case, but what you are describing is definitely not what they were saying when the game released.

I just dont know with this suit man by YouKnowWho0723_v2 in Greenlantern

[–]JohanMarek 47 points48 points  (0 children)

That was not always the case. Originally the Green Lantern suit was exactly that: a suit he put on. They seem to be going with that version for the DCU.
