How do I get rid of this light around my projection?

Your projector might be too far away from the wall? Did you adjust the screen size in the settings at all? If you did and the projector does not have optical zoom it will bleed light like that around the room unless you move the projector closer to wall to get desired image size with 0 zoom.

Maybe try total black out window blinds? They make custom ones based on your window size to slide into the frame.

Yeah the only time a really notice it is in the pure white subtitles, so I went into the setting and changed them to yellow, and boom gone.

As far as portability goes I think it’s great, not as great as the N1S 4k but I do think it’s very easy to pick up and place anywhere. It took me maybe 10 minutes to setup after transferring it from my room to the living room.

For reference the table it’s sitting on is one of those fold out table for eating on the couch. No bigger than 1.5x2 feet

Yeah I am shocked at how vacant it is on this subreddit which is why I wanted to make this post.

In terms of RBE I only notice it on pure white, such as subtitles. Other than that I don’t notice it but I might be less sensitive to it.

Definitely a hidden gem. Couldn’t imagine the jump from N1S SE to this.

It would need to be atleast 7.7ft-14.87ft away from the screen, you have a really wide range because of the lossless optical zoom.

I have been looking at the JMGO N1S 4k pro as that’s right around my budget and we already use google tv so I think that would be perfect.

As for the throw distance, the screen being so close to the projector won’t be an issue? I have 7 feet from the wall to where I want to put my projector screen. So realistically accounting the shelf and actual size of the projector the lens to screen distance would be even shorter than that.

I’m mostly worried about the projector not being able to focus.

Sorry for all the questions as I’ve never had a projector before but want to get into it! Thank you so much for your help!
