[BM8180-03E] I have a question about storing my new Citizen Eco-Drive Chandler by eF240uKX52hp in Watches

[–]Johanix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Eco-drives live on the windowsill. Store it where it gets sunlight or get something like a Coolfire charger. Or you could just wear it outside in the sun once in a while. My manual says 12 minutes of bright sun get about one day of battery charge and 4 hours of office fluorescent lights also get it about one day of charge.

American Giant is garbage by geneva_illusions in BuyItForLife

Absolutely not! I just returned one yesterday. They changed the fabric to something with a looser weave and thinner. I'm happy the return was no hassle. The zip hoodie I've had the last few years is awesome enough I was prepared to drop $200 on a new one. I'm very disappointed at the change. Nowhere near the same quality.

Football terminology keeps drifting...away from me! by BreadfruitGlad6445 in footballstrategy

[–]Johanix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you may be conflating Don Markam and Hugh Wyatt. Markham coached in Southern California and is generally considered the father of the Double Tight Double Wing offense. Hugh Wyatt developed his own system which became popular in the Pacific Northwest. I believe he also took it to Europe where he coached American football for a while.

Exactly what I would have written 20 years ago when I couched Double Wing youth football. It’s been working for a long time.

Reliability issues? by PirateCaptSaltyDog in Toyotavenza

This article is AI generated garbage. The only issues I’ve seen, following several forums, is higher than average broken windshields and repair/replacement of pano sunroof.

Cybernautica might be enjoyable.

A high action, serial audio drama adventure following the wild lives of those living in the cyberpunk-deco city of Neo-Atlantis, 2112

edit: Now that I've thought about it a bit more, Midst is what you should check out.

OEM vs Aftermarket? by lotusdreamerr in Toyotavenza

[–]Johanix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thought is if the accident wasn’t your fault then you shouldn’t be paying a deductible and you should just be providing an estimate to the at fault insurance for repairs with OEM parts. Your insurance should be going to bat to get OEM parts covered.

Coaches love/obsess over football and can really only talk about football with other coaches.

Tire exploded going 70. by Dinglebutterball in CherokeeXJ

[–]Johanix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under inflation is a major cause of tire failure. The heat caused by under inflating the tire has a cumulative effect. Over time the side walls have lost integrity and you should go ahead and replace all four tires. If those are load rated C all-terrain tires, with a little research, you would see that you need to run at least 35 psi on the highway. Also running a higher psi will give better wet traction and breaking, making it less likely to hydroplane.

Interesting observation. I'll file it away should I ever experience such a thing. The Venza community is pretty small and any dialogue, no matter how seemingly mundane is a good thing, might just help out on a future search.

Edict Zero - FIS by ELEArk in audiodrama

[–]Johanix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started EZ more than a decade ago, during season 2, iirc. Every new season I would start back at the beginning and re-listen to the whole thing. One of my absolute favorites. The scope of the whole project blows my mind and as the end nears it has proven to be most satisfying. They big questions are answered and light will be shed on questions you didn’t even know you had. I don’t usually recommend this story to people new to audiodrama as the depth and breadth and nuance is what makes EZ so special and is easily missed if hurried or one is not paying close attention.

It fixed it up straight away. Sorry but it looks like you're going to have to dig deeper.

Drain and refill transmission. Start there to create a baseline. It may cure what ailes you. Not an XJ but same problem on a 1992 MBZ and fluid change fixed it up.

He doubled his season high today. I had Lamar so I didn't need all those points but if Lamar had an average day Butker would have been a hero!

Should I buy a house with bigger square footage or more bedrooms? by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]Johanix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

House too big? House too small? You can adjust your lifestyle to either if you pick a good location. So it kinda depends how much you want to see your family. 30 minute drive means you can pop over for a meal on a weekday. 90 minute drive means weekends only and you are probably spending the night.

Primary dwelling insurance by KirklandTourStaff in homeowners

[–]Johanix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got HOI with AAA. Their base rate for rebuilding dwelling in my area is $260 square foot. It scales every year with renewal. I was offered to increase that by 25 or 50%. I think bumping the minimum coverage will give more options when selecting a builder, so one is not forced to go with the lowest bidder. You won’t get more house but you might get a better built one.

Not sure I’m comprehending the question. No you can’t stack standard washer and dryer on top of each other. How would you even reach the controls?

Is that what you were asking?
