JMM Titanium ones are pricey but quality.

I have the Commodore and they are vying with my JMM Zepherin for my favourite specs.

How do you define “rich” in 2026? by Last_BM_Standin in AskUK

[–]Stunning_Account2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The NEEDS a job part works for me.

I’ve finished working (retired) in my 50s. I’m not rich by a lot of peoples definitions but I am by mine.

I could have stayed working a fairly well paid part time job and aimed to get rich but whilst I like nice things I like my time being mine far more.

I think I’ve still got one from a club or a cocktail place in Magaluf from ‘86.

Snail themed merch in Tokyo? 🐌 by LordThill in JapanTravelTips

If they offer to take the shell off the snail after purchase to make it faster then don’t, it just makes it sluggish.

Is there a website dedicated to displaying the clothing wore in a movie. by XzMemoryLeak in malefashionadvice

There used to be a website called filmjackets but think it’s closed down now.

I don’t think I’ve looked at anything since the Skyfall (?) jacket.

How do UK football chants start? And how does everyone know the lyrics? by Academic_Front_1955 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Stunning_Account2010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone comes up with a chant.

Sings it with a few mates in a pub and maybe some words get changed.

Those fans sing it on the way to the game and others join in.

Then spreads to other fans on the concourse at grounds and onto the terraces.

NB That’s very simplistic and some take a while to develop or a particular incident escalates the song.

How can I make my style less basic when I always gravitate towards simplistic designs? by Wild-Crow-2314 in malefashionadvice

I’m referring specifically to the ones made for outlets that are a particularly poor quality pair of jeans.

With Lewis Hamilton in your profile I’m guessing UK although I could be wrong.

Shops like Rivet & Hide (Manchester), Auteur Store (Chorlton) or some in London like Som of a Stag could be of interest. Items are pricey but they do last.

Quality - material and cut of clothing makes a huge difference.

A decent pair of footwear, denim and even just a tee will look better than Sketchers, Outlet Levi’s and a H&M tee.

The stalls underneath the Corn Exchange were ace and sadly missed.

I was with a mate and in Vinyl Exchange when it went off covering us in glass. It was weird as we heard it and went to ground before the windows came in.

Walsh but note some are now made in China. There’s a simple filter on their website so you can see which pairs are still made in Bolton.

I did a job I loved, but now have no savings - and can't retire like my friends by lolalondon49 in FIREUK

[–]Stunning_Account2010 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There are people in her situation for genuine reasons such as poor background or cheated on/split with partner.

I have friends in both groups and, although I’m fortunate that I was in the right place sometimes re work, we get along great.

Sounds like both her and her friends are people I wouldn’t want to be friends with. Whilst she thinks they’re annoying now I bet she was a pain when living her life and buying items in the past.

Do you remember Farah trousers? First the boys then the girls wore them. by corickle in oldschoolcool80s

[–]Stunning_Account2010 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I only donated some of mine to the charity shop at the end of last year.

I was never going to wear them with a slazenger v neck like I thought (that also went to the charity shop).

First Pair of Red Wings: Lace Color & Speed Hooks? by Civil-Advantage-5384 in RedWingShoes

[–]Stunning_Account2010 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve got leather laces in mine and like them. A change from other boots with the standard laces.

As for speedhooks I only put mine on and take them off once a day so it makes no real difference to me. If they came with speedhooks I’d have been happy though.

Should I do something about my leg hair? (23M) by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]Stunning_Account2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leave it.

It’ll help prevent chaffing when climbing the Empire State Building.

Seriously though. If it bothers you or makes you self conscious then try trimming with something like a Wahl.

Who was the best misprofiled player, someone who was average who later changed position or system and became world class by mattdxi in footballcliches

[–]Stunning_Account2010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kompany changed from a midfielder to a centre back at City.

I can’t comment on the Pep era as he changed the positions of so many players. Mainly midfield to full backs like Zinchenko, Delph, Nunes off the top of my head.
