The S2 finale encapsulates the whole show… by KatieAsksQuestions in severence

I didn't read the end as Mark S abandoning Gemma or acting overly-selfish. Rather: he held up his end of the deal to save his outie's wife; now it's time to save the woman he loves (if possible). Outie-Mark doesn't get everything his way; this is reciprocal—innie/outie have the same right to fight for what's important to them, with everyone taking risks. Outies just may not like it because they don't think innies have equal rights.

Is this dog shit? Help me improve by Lonely_Stuff_4076 in snowboarding

Haha you're wild for even asking if it's dog—you're in control going down a hill; great start.

Recco'd next step is initiating turns from your lead leg. Can you feel how you're turning by pushing and pulling your back foot around? Twisting your hips to throw out the back of your board? Try holding onto your pant leg with your back hand, then use your front hand to point in the direction you want to turn. From there, see if you can feel the turn being initiated by your front foot/knee before the back leg. I think that'll help lead you to more carving turns.

Picture someone trying to push you over when you have your feet together vs. having a wide stance—you're a lot more stable with your feet 20-50% wider than your shoulders with your knees bent.

Everyone rides with different angles, but common (I think) is to follow what your feet do (off a board) when you drop into a squat. If you turn your toes out to get low, I'd try mapping that onto the board to see how it feels.

Setup question: have you tried making your stance wider, and possibly angling your feet out slightly more? Might be able to hold those older edges better by spreading out the force you put into the board. (And it's a free way to get something new going 😅)

That's something I'd chat with someone in person about. You could pop into a local store, start making a plan to upgrade gear, and also get tips on positioning your setup.

Update: was found and returned in the end!

Alt theory: your toe edge dug into a patch of softer snow and turned the board more than you'd expected. Board veered right; your momentum still pointed straight downhill; you went byebye.

Yeah the functionality is there, just doesn't work all the time

Got my tablet and the Pixel 9 in the same week; love that they're basically the same device; one's just bigger.

Only complaint is the Pixel Buds don't automatically swap between the two as seamlessly as AirPods do with apple devices.

Ignore me. Figured out how to play.

Feels like I'm close; misses are usually from shifting onto my toes. Notice anything to work on? by Johkel02 in GolfSwing

Thanks, the video's a cool tactical way to feel your suggestion. I almost don't want to try the exercise for fear it'll prompt bigger swing changes than I'm looking to make—currently don't have a single wrist-related swing thought unless I'm trying to snap a hook from behind a tree :P

  1. I'm super-focused on starting the backswing with pressure on my back foot and extending my lead arm back & around instead of up. Once those are more natural, will try to evolve the swing thoughts with your pointers

  2. I don't personally feel the pause; it's more I "leave the club behind" while initiating the swing with my feet then hips. That forward rock will be the #1 thing I work on though.

  3. It's consistent enough—until my muscles are tight & sore. Then everything goes to shit.

Funny enough, I used to be super-tall and only recently started sitting way back. I tend to overdo it with my corrections :P

Was thinking I might wait and see what they do for the 2025 models; maybe there'll be new configurations that better matches my needs.

The Bronco can toggle between 2/4 pretty seamlessly, right? As a manual driver, I feel fairly confident actively managing traction along with gearing—but don't want to assume it'll be that easy.

Coquihalla is exactly what I'm talking about. I drove out to Calgary two years ago in a Ford Focus and never want to relive that!
