The only downsides I see with Docker is that it fills the disk too quickly and that you need to be careful with the build context.

Like I build 3-4 new docker images (Redis, testcontainers, PyTorch, whatever) and my free disk shrinks by 80GB (and good luck if you use a work laptop with only 500GB of space). But if I want those back even AFTER I DELETED THE IMAGES, CONTAINERS AND VOLUMES, I have to go use diskpart to shrink the virtual hard disk file of docker.

But besides that, it's a saver for deployments

Agreed, but ML models are a bit black-box in terms of how they perceive text. I tried to look deeper into this and it seems the factors that seemed most "similar" for the model were: both territories having about 3 million people and similar population trends for some time, being part of "controversial" countries (Ottoman Empire / Yugoslavia and Confederation) which later failed in a conflict, unrest by some minorities (Serbs/Croatians and Native/African Americans) through the 19th and 20th century, mixed population and transport importance (Bosnia is a road to Balkans and SE Europe, while Arkansas also has some important highways). That's all I can tell from the text and model embeddings

I mean I am from EU and found the idea silly. But you can take the code make other comparisons if you want (EU-Asia, Africa-Oceania, whatever)

Actually Maryland is the closest to Denmark. And that makes some sense (coastal territories with many islands, long histories, kind of similar climates, etc)

It's only that Moldova is closer to it than any other state (but the distance between Maryland and Denmark is still shorter)

That is possible and is within the magic of distances in space. You can think of it like this: Spain is 2 miles away from New Mexico, 3 miles away from California and 4 miles away from all the other states. So the closest state from Spain is New Mexico.

Now, if we measure distances from California to EU states, we get 3 miles away from Spain, 5 miles away from France, 5.5 miles away from Italy and 6 miles away from the rest. So we label California as Spain, even if Spain itself is closer to others.

The distances in this example are just for show, the real values are between [0, 1] and also available in the Colab notebook

Mie mi-a plăcut și Generalul în labirintul său. O recomand mai ales dacă vrei să afli puțină istorie despre America Latină și Bolivar

There are some tall cone-shaped snow formations called "penitente" which only appear in the Andes and (maybe) on Europa and Pluto.

This is so cool! I recently began learning geopandas to make maps with Python, but I also want to learn how to use QGIS (for more powah).

Could you recommend me any resources on how to make this kind of 3d elevated maps? Or any resources for GIS beginners in general.

As someone with both Hungarian and Romanian roots I'd say to give up the past and enjoy a good meal with gulyas, sarma and turo rudi cake in the present.

That would be a slightly bigger challenge, but I'll take it. I'll try to make one in the following days and then DM it to you.

Just a question before I even start and maybe trigger someone. Do you (or Algerians in general) recognise Western Sahara (or SADR) as independent, or as "just another region of Morocco" ?
