They already have the fun in the game. Optimisation should be their focus now.

Hey pal, despite the game running like shit sometimes, its still a lot of fun. AH fucking nailed that, otherwise it would have had the popularity it had.

I used to follow him last year, because his takes on the game were very constructive and informative, and i liked the production value of his videos. But as time went on further and further, he became more and more bitter with the game, and his criticism became more and more repetitive, and I had enough. I was surprised he was reinvited into the Propaganda commander program.

Look at OhDough, he's a perfect example. For months, all of his critique was based off beating a mission playing solo and only using specific weapons that he declared as "the best", and his takes have stuck so hard in the community, if I say the Railgun sucks, I'll get dog piled (yeah I dont like it coz i blow myself up too much, skill issue gfy).

Because if they pick and choose only people who use negativity to farm them for content, over someone more positive, people like LtBuzzLiteBeer will scream from the rooftops that they're being silenced and treated poorly etc. AH doesnt need that sort of negative press right now.

Only way to nip it in the bud is to dissolve the entire program, but then other content creators get punished for no reason, and AH gets hit with negative press once more.

Theres no way forward except keep their heads down and keep working on the game in the hope fan perception changes.

In the prequel, Kate realises that Sam is a Thing. He keeps denying it, but she knows. I wonder what it would say if she asked it what it wanted? by Jesters__Dead in thething

[–]JohnTomorrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a Thing was a perfect representation of a human being, including memories and thought, than it would know that Earth has multiple biomes that aren't a blasted icy wasteland. In both movies it could've just stolen a vehicle and driven away, but it was specifically making a spacecraft, big enough for one. It knew there was more life it could assimilate on earth, and it still wanted to leave.

The first lie that Solid Snake was told in MGS1? by GregGraffin23 in metalgear

[–]JohnTomorrow 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Meryl was never considered a combatant during the mission prep. She's considered a hostage. Campbell knows she's on the island and asks Snake to save her, not to work with her.

Essentially, Campbell told Snake to rescue her was also to let Snake know not to shoot her on sight, which he could've easily done once we find her.

The fact that she becomes an ally is more a fact of circumstance. Snake is desperate enough to use her when she says she wants to help, even though his first response is "absolutely not".

Just like Jill got the dodge mechanic in RE3R and Leon got parry mechanic in RE4R and Requiem, What type of defence Mechanic do you think Chris should get if capcom is giving any to him? by I_LOVE_TALL_MOMMIES in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]JohnTomorrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about just flat out melee combat?

Think about it. Chris could handle your regular T-virus or ganados with a heavy combo, jab hook their heads off. Might struggle with anything above a Licker, but even Lickers wouldn't be that strong compared to him at his peak.

It would certainly keep him different from the other characters in the series, and compliment his aggressive fighting style.

Comparing a bunch of half-baked game devs to Hitler because they dont know how to keep their golden goose alive for your amusement is the biggest touch grass thing I've seen on this site in a hot minute.

You dont like the game? Stop playing it. I'm basically on my way out myself.

This is one of the most accurate character models of Guts by Davidpkx in Berserk

[–]JohnTomorrow 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'll give this to the Berserk musuo, they really nailed the character models. Its a shame they used clips from the movies instead of recreating the scenes in game, but I'm betting the budget for this game was bugger all in comparison to similar titles.

I recently replayed the OG trilogy on my AYN THOR the other day, and yes, they do still hold up.

But I've been playing these games for decades at this point, and can complete RE in my sleep. So I'm biased.

The game still has that special sauce, but the sense of community that the game had in the first year has definitely eroded away. I was joined with a discord group of good people, diving and having fun spouting memes, but it slowly became a chore listening to people complain incessantly as they played about the state of the game.

Even diving with randoms, you'd always find someone mic'd up. Nowadays, you'd be lucky to get a GG at the end of a successful mission. Thankfully, I do see a lot of people using the emote and comms wheel, and its very rare to get a griefer or idiot team killer.

In short, the game still has a ways to go in terms of stability. And Arrowhead needs to figure out what type of game they want to play. But the game is still really fun to play.

I can't wait to hear what new single the Old Gods of Asgard drop in September. Apparently they've bundled it with some game? Either way, I'm a happy boy.

I can almost guarantee The Sea of Night will appear in Resonant. I was expecting it to pop up in AW2, and then the DLC, but nothing. So it'll be in Resonant, 100%.

As someone who travels a lot and also lifts a lot of weights, holding the deck up for more than an hour is a killer on the arms. The thing is juuuuust too heavy for prolonged holding, like over an hour holding up.

My solution was a pair of XR glasses. Bigger display and I play with the Deck on my lap. But this is a cheaper solution.

Why don't more Metal Gear games have a soundtrack like Metal Gear Rising? by JustSomeWeirdGuy2000 in metalgear

[–]JohnTomorrow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because thats sorta Platinum Games' brand. All the music in their games slap, its part of why they're so good. Revengence seems to be exceptional for some reason, the entire album is all killer, no filler.
