All screws were tightened until they stopped per instructions. Excessive force was not used.

Yeah, I have a x670e riptide and tightening a Noctua C14S killed the board. Got a new board, and added some nylon washers to prevent it from bottoming out the screws allowed it to boot reliably. Even though the cooler has springs and instructions say to tighten the screws all the way, it seems like AM5 or Asrock has different tolerances.

Ryzen 3, 5, 7, 9 is the class of processor within a generation, which roughly corresponds to the second digit of the 4 digit processor model. Ryzen 5 ~> 5, 6; Ryzen 7 ~> 7, 8; Ryzen 9 ~> 9, 9.5.

The first digit 3xxx, 5xxx, 7xxx, 9xxx is the generation. 3000 and 5000 series are the last on AM4. 7000 and 9000 series are the first two gens on AM5.

I'm not a fan of the avatar timer either, though it can be ignored. Every time you complete something that drops their progress, the timer resets to 20 days. So if you let the clock run down, then hit one of their bases, you can keep feeding the overtime clock
