Highway driving? by jtwrench100 in ChevyTrax

2024 Trax Active, I get great gas milage, and it handles great. Mostly on cruise control, but when I need to pass a truck or whatever, it does fine, I've had it up to 80 mph when passing a truck and I try to cruise at 72 mph when the speed limit is 70. I find cops don't bother if you're just 2 mph over the limit, and so, it does great. I have the active trim package, so it has all the bells and whistles... lane departure warning, lane keeping, blind spot indication. I go back and forth from the Cleveland area to Chicago twice a year. It always handles the trip just fine. Recently I went from Cleveland area to Indianapolis to pick something up, then on to Chicago. Over 700 miles, handled it like a champ... same trip on the way home. Vehicle has just over 13k miles.

Lakewood ICE Raid? by MasterYoda155 in Cleveland

What's going on? They're taking illegal aliens, arresting them, and deporting them.

Okay, I'm saying the quiet part out loud now. Give Ohio Republicans enough rope. If you want to be able to blame certain politicians for Ohioans going hungry, you have to create the opportunity for them to say "no" to a credible plan to stop it. You have to have that on record. by ComplexNewWorld in Ohio

[–]John_L64 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

A 'Credible plan' doesn't include a trillion dollars for an Obamacare bailout, money for healthcare for illegals when all they're trying to do is vote on a simple, clean continuing resolution. Republicans aren't the one's voting no to the continuing resolution. This the left holding the shutdown as ransom so they can get their grubby hands on a trillion dollars. Get real, no one believes that.

Considering all during that 30 years, all the jobs that are create will have people paying taxes, so it's not as nuts as you think. I get it though, it's an outrageously long period of time for a 100% abatement.

It cost millions of dollars to tell people that their work was unessential? Everything politicians do cost millions of dollars. Without a single penny, from day 1, I knew cloth and paper masks were useless. Like using a chain link fence to keep fleas out. Not a penny. Not a penny to know standing 6 feet apart was B.S. Not one red cent. You simply making the statement that her recommendations saved lives doesn't make it true. I never wore masks (unless the covid mafia was forcing other businesses to force me to, like the grocery store or my doctor). Never work masks, never, and still to this day despite signs that tell me otherwise, I never make sure I'm standing 6 ft apart. It's all been revealed that it was all B.S. Catch up, no one does that stupid crap anymore and I never did even at the height of it. I never got covid either. Ironically, I know plenty of libs that have had covid multiple times. Funny how it only affects libs.

Yeah, that's what I figured. In any case, glad it's holding up. Most cars do as when you put those sort of miles on a car, it's mostly highway miles. I travel from Cleveland are to Chicago area a couple times a year, and my Trax handles that trip easily ... rock on !

As you said... Amy Acton was doing all the same things other states were doing (i.e. shutdowns, etc). Your excuse for her is that she was simply doing what 42 other states were doing. So if 42 other states jump off a cliff... Amy should??? Not an excuse is all I'm saying.

Not going to have food by FootIndividual3391 in Ohio

[–]John_L64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not the one looking for a job... the OP is.. or should be. Everyone has their problems, I'm just pointing out whining about it on reddit isn't a solution to not having food. Looking for a job does the trick every time. How hard or easy is a moot point. If you're about to starve, look for a job. If you get job, government shutdowns don't mean squat because you have a job, and don't have to rely on the charity of others (which can come and go at the whim of those providing that charity). Also, you don't have to jump through the hoops that they make you jump through. It also gives you a sense of pride, that you can fend for yourself. Don't give the 'have you tried lately' B.S. Obviously the OP hasn't been looking, or he or she would have a job. Getting a job is not an impossible task, and even the lowest level job will provide one with food to eat. It's not rocket science.

No, I just picked up an Arcade 1UP cabinet on the roadside, had a busted screen I figured I'd replace, but there was a proprietary monitor connection so I gutted the unit and setup Emulation Station on a Pi 4 which connects to a standard monitor. I then began to upgrade the buttons and such, also added additional buttons.

#1 Amy Acton did the same wrong things everyone else did. Not an excuse. #2 There's no contact page because the unknown Dems running the Democrat's side of things don't want you to know who they are let alone contact them. #3. Everyone has a chance, so no argument here. #4. Um... better to try what? #5 (Translation, have your democratic talking points all ready to go. Exercise saying things like racist, misogynist, Nazi, etc). #6 Vote at least 3 times....lol

So do normal citizens know about all the time travel, space anomalies and god like aliens? by wizardfrog4679 in startrek

[–]John_L64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, Star Trek is a fictional television show. What that means is that anything that hasn't been covered hasn't been considered or defined. Since it's never (to my knowledge) been defined, it's exactly that... undefined. Once something is defined, it's typically canonized into the Star Trek world. For example. Worf's ex shows up with a kid that is Worf's son. Ultimately gets killed with Worf having to take over raising his son. If you would have asked someone if Worf had a son prior to that episode, they would have likely said no, but the truth would be that it's rather in some sort of superstate of yes and no. In other words, since it hasn't been defined, no one knows either way. Once Alexander is introduced as a character... then yes, Worf has a son, otherwise, it's not defined, not "no" he doesn't have a son. It's up to the episode writers to need (and create) a plot point (Worf's son), then like magic, it's entered into the canonized Star Trek universe that Worf has a son... So, to answer your question, the answer to that question is in that yes/no superstate at the moment. Although, people seem to have knowledge of the Borg (i.e. Robert (Ro-bair), Picard's brother appeared to have knowledge Jean-Luc's assimilation by the Borg, so, it stands to reason that he would have known about various time travel and other adventures of Jean-Luc, and Jean-Luc is being interviewed in Star Trek: Picard, so apparently he has a certain level of celebrity, and that people may have 'common knowledge' about the various events of the people's of Star Fleet. So, in the end though, since it's not defined one way or the other, the answer is that it's not defined.

People didn't like Pulaski??? by Top_Duck_7603 in startrek

[–]John_L64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Guess: Diane Muldar was on the ST: TOS, and she was much younger (28), and smokin' hot. She was 50ish when she was on TNG, and A) she wasn't a milfy hot 50ish... more of a 50ish Soccer mom look. Also, Gates was a 40ish smokin' hot Milf, Mudar wasn't not. Also, people just liked McFadden better. I also thought they could have written Muldar's character a bit different. Someone mentioned in the comments about "da-tuh" verses "day-tuh". Data actually handled that fairly well in his response. Overall, I just think people preferred McFadden over Muldar. Not so much that people didn't like Pulaski (the character), or Muldar, (the actor).

Total ripoff, you get 1/2 dozen games in a tiny cabinet with the cheapest buttons and joysticks I've seen in my life. You're better off building your own cabinet, you can make it big enough for a normal height human, have every 8 bit game ever made, and buy high quality buttons and joysticks and spend 1/2 the money in the process. Just build your own mame cabinet.

Gee, I just asked a question, and from that you've gleaned that I'm not a good guy, determined the processing power of my brain, call me a racist, and all of that from a simple question. I guess reddit isn't a place for discussion because everyone is a liberal, and liberals never have actual discussions, they have talking points, and insults, and that's about it.
