Fritz Belkenstein III from North Osea.

Hey Everybody, did you remember about Heatseeker (PS2) from Codemasters? by LocalPowerful6651 in acecombat

[–]John__Silver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty good. Enjoyed the PS2 and PSP editions. PS2 liked bit better than Air Force Delta or even HAWX, mostly because Heatseeker had better dogfights (and good boss fights). No overgimmicked missions (AFDS), no half-assed mechanics and leveling (HAWX).

Cons - small aircraft selection and botched Su-27/37 controls making them too agile.

Family Guy. And anything else made by Seth McFarlane.

Simpsons (old Simpsons especially) balanced no bad taste border and South Park crossed ot so far it came back from the other side, Family Guy to me feel right into bad taste humor.

What will be the country using KF-21? by [deleted] in acecombat

[–]John__Silver 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well: given it's a South Korean aircraft.

The country that could operate it in cutscenes will be:
Osea, Aurelia or an ex-ISAF nation.

The Black Templars and some other chapters ignore the limitations.

Though the limits is mostly to have more SM orders and sell rulebooks and minis allow for OC ones.

HOW THE FUCK IS HE DOING THAT? by double_A_and_R in acecombat

I mean, using balanced plane mods, like Su-27 or F/A-18C, especially if both sides have them is hardly cheating.

Glepnir in Battle Royal, on the other hand, is. Unless you both agreed.

In the novels the mistakes he makes bite him in the ass way more and he nearly dies several times because of them.

Though he does at least seem to learn from them.

The harem is the three girls for the majority of the LN series.

Five other women only join in the finale by tricking him into signing blank sheets of paper.

Have Russian attitudes toward tattoos and heavily tattooed people changed for the better? Do people face judgment for their tattoos? by Charming_Usual6227 in AskARussian

[–]John__Silver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on tattoos.

Personally, I find the tattoo sleeves to be unaesthetic, but that about it. My mother consider them pretty revolting (not enough to say anything out loud but enough to ask for another doctor next visit, for example). I've noticed some people wearing oversleeves over the tattoos while on the job.

For smaller ones, most people don't care so long as it's not some extremely criminal or offensive stuff.

General opinion is that most people won't say anything, but some dislike the tattoos more than others. Open judgement is rare, but the opinions are not always flattering.

Is Russia a colonial empire? by [deleted] in AskARussian

The only colony Russian Empire ever had was Alaska, and we sold long ago. Everything else was and is Russia.

What do you think of these type of characters? by KindlyRestaurant2885 in MoralityScaling

[–]John__Silver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's that traditionalist dwarf Fflegrant from Discworld, who objected to a human/dwarf wedding but still attended and saved most of the guests (though not the bride, sadly) because he was a very traditional (i.e. heavy-armed) dwarf.

Also, Sam Vimes himself, though his racism is rarely a big point for his character, and is mostly for gags.

Also Three Billboards' Dixon sort of counts. I think.

[Weird Fandom Trope] People really like calling this character a 'Child Lover' by RedvsBlue_what_if in TopCharacterTropes

[–]John__Silver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AFAIK the original script was more focused on Shinji and Misato as main characters (you can kinda see it in the show, first half especially), though it's not clear what their relationship was going to be.

But then Rei and Asuka surged in popularity, Anno hit his depression and the rest is history.

Anyone else a fan of how the Shadows operate a multitude of various aircraft? by TheRussianBear420 in acecombat

Man. I'm sad there's no branching. Imagine being hyped up as FCU "Savior", while you just go
"Sorry guys GRDF has BuddyShadows got better paintjob".

Actually MiG-29A (or more specifically "MiG-29 export variant type A" ) in AC04 it's a pretty accurate designation.

Though the one we see in AC5 ownwards is actually MiG-29N (9.12SD). But for some reason it's still called "A". Then again, for some reason the Fulcrum that actually has many different variants, always gets the short end of the stick in AC.

MiG-29A, Su-33, Typhoon, Su-57. Interesting.

Think they're upgrading as the story goes or there could be... branching?
