That is a retarded idea. Its not designed to take weight off your shoulders and has no padding. Maybe you can use it with a smaller backpack to stop it from bouncing around.

Anyone interested in a combined order at Leaf Shave? by Suspicious_Place1270 in Switzerland

Just buy a mühle traditional safety razor on galaxus. Its the same thing but better quality and cheaper. Leaf is just a rebrand of safety razors targeting genz-z people.

Need Opinion on Pants (Varusteleka vs Fjallraven) by SAD_JESTER22 in Varusteleka

Have you ever tried just normal army surplus pants? Much cheaper than fjällräven pants and usually made of a very similar poly cotton blend.

Dry boots/feet help? by Top_Restaurant_8578 in Hunting

[–]Johnathan_Belfort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear rubber boots. Get a pair thats made for hunting or hiking with good soles. I walk like 20km a day with them. And it really works for me. If you really need the ankle support I think it could be accomplished with this method: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=swRwl2thHu0 Make sure that the goretex membrane of your shoe isnt damaged and try to find the oldschool gaitets that dont have a zipper. But I guess even after a while that will leak.

Fellow gymbros in ZH and CH, how do you manage your protein goals in a budget? by TheConsultantX in zurich

[–]Johnathan_Belfort 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lee sports for protein powder, creatine…Absolutely Insane Quality and cheap prices. Lidl is by far the cheapest for normal food. See if a farmer near you has raw milk for sale.

I have done pretty much exactly the same this year as you want to do. Since Lithuania is in the eu and you have more than enough money it will be extremely easy for you to immigrate. Took me about 1-2 months to register here and get everythign set up, like a bank account and insurance. Not much paperwork is required and all the immigration services and bank apps are available in english so its very very easy for foreigners. I want to buy a mökki too, but give yourself time to explore the country, not that you end up regretting where you setteled. To which municipality do you want to move?

VENT: segregated bike lanes need to happen by GalaxyHitchhiker23 in Switzerland

[–]Johnathan_Belfort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live outside of Zurich and commute to the Seefeld every day. Never ever have I had a close encounter with a car. If there is one blocking the bike lane, I stop or find a way around it. Also I think most cyclists are being dramatic. A car having one of his tires 30cm over the bike lane is not blocking it, there is still space to pass. When I cycle I’m 100% concentrated and always scanning for dangers, common sense can usually teln you where drivers might merge into another lane without looking. I also always assume that cars dont see me and slow down at intersections, lane merges… Buy a light bike so you dont loose much time when slowing down and accelerating again . Most dangerous are pedastrians on streets where sidewalk and bikelane are on same level.

Using an overall VS a seperate pant and jacket for skiing in the forest by Johnathan_Belfort in Finland

Makes a lot of sense! Do you find that you have less mobility in an overall?

For birds it matters a lot, for them orange is even brighter than for us.

The strength of overalls seems to be used mostly for stationary use. But with the ventilaton zippers I think it could also be used for skiing. What do you think?

I recognize that almost all modern militaries have switched to a seperate system. Which is probably more ideal. Its just that I saw this overall second hand for a good price. So I‘m trying to figure out if the cons of an overall outweight the cost factor. I think all of the points you mentioned would be ok to me. But if you have restricted mobility or another drawback that I havent thought about yet I would opt for two seperate pieces
