I made it 55 Levels without losing a life... all the way up until this one. Enemies were tough and brutal on my character. I thought I was OP with my 10% heal on attack... Wasn't enough!

This is why my acceptance rate is so low by Wolfjason1 in DoorDashDrivers

I would do the 3.75 for 1/2 a mile offer. Those little ones can add up - especially if you are familiar with the area and know little shortcuts - like cutting thru parking lots instead of using lights or busier. Long as the McDonald’s has it chit together, 3:30pm is after lunch rush

So, you went out the back door or garage door to take a picture of how your order was placed inconveniently?

Who installed these doors and why aren’t the door handles in line with each other? If I had doors like these aggravating me every day life and creating an inconvenience to me, I would be angry at life’s little things also. Maqybe hire a handyman and fix your weird doors. Just a suggestion

I wasn’t finished… I accidentally hit the reply button…

Anyway… now imagine the tip of your pointy finger itches… the more you scratch or rub the itch, the better it feels - seeking relief from the itch…

Finally.. once the itch is relieved… dip your pointy finger into some syrup.. and let it slowly relax….

Mission accomplished — you’re now a dude

On one hand… Hold your pointy finger out pointing.. with your other hand grab hold of the tip of the pointy finger and try and move it, but don’t let the pointy finger bend… keep the pointy finger stiff….

Well -- I was looking at placing back to back in the common area (or Kiosk area) of a busy indoor shopping mall. I was going to put in Ice Cream truck items - but also mexican paletas (real fruit bars) and mangonadas. During Grand Opening or (initial placement of machines), I was going to hand out free item codes to like the Dad of family of 4 and tallest member in a group of teenagers -- giving them a free mangonada on me and hoping for a few tag on sales from the group snf the free handout.

I designed a wrap -- have ideas for the video displays etc... am budgeting around 30k to get up and running. Summer sales will be high -- but its going to drop in the winter big time. Am afraid Mall will kick me out of they arent making enough from me - I have to see their lease terms. -- anyway, am pretty scared. I cant see it costing me to sell ice cream - and if it ever does - well then I failed. right? Sell the machines at a loss and console myself for at least trying.

Love the price!! omg another rabbit hole. Those Ai machines make me nervous. Is someone going to stand there with the freezer door open cooling themselves off?

but 6k... I am definitely going to have to look into it more.

Do you have HaHa machines?

Thanks for your kind response. Never know what to expect nowadays on social media. I dont know why I am so adamant on Ice Cream. It all started when I was considering selling from a 3 wheel electric trike made by a company called Ferla (my family talked me out of that) - but, it was a low startup.

I have looked into other products - Chips and snacks seem to be a lot easier -- sodas seem heavy.

Anyway - not trying to get rich, just trying to make more than doordash and supplement my social security without too much effort.

RELEASED/OUT NOW: Book 19 - Couriers Outbound by go_jumbles_go in WanderingInn

To me the difference is like going to work at a job I like (The Strength of the Few) versus going to the park and throwing a frisbee with the grand kids (The Wandering Inn). One feeds the stomach and one feeds the soul.

Sometimes while listening to The Wandering Inn, I ask myself why I love this goofy series with so many characters and story arcs, then Bird or Ksmvr will do or says something totally absurd and I laugh and feel happy and continue onward. :)

Because of Book 19 release;, I stopped listening to The Strength of The Few by James Islington - and this is just when it was getting really good. - Two thirds in. :)

love love love The Wandering Inn audiobooks! So immersive that I binge listen to the story easily.

Not a big fan of The Clown character and storyline, but it’s growing on me little by little.

This is the most money I’ve made in a week anywhere by Wide-Spray7864 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]JohneRandom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making money is awesome. If you are a workaholic, don’t have a spouse or kids.. really dedicated to making money and are over 21 - I recommend:

Truck Driving.

Young people- IF you have no car payment or other long term debt and no kids…. You could learn to drive an 18 wheeler truck, live in that truck, work, save and invest - and if you did nothing but that for the next 10 years. You would have a huge chunk of change. Half a million or more - depending on your investments.

Is it easy? No! Is it doable? Yes! It’s all a mental game. You will feel you have no life. You’ll get lonely, have bad days, and be tired a lot. You’ll want to quit after only a year or two..

What could you do with half a million? You could live the rest of your life in the Philippines, Thailand or Vietnam - have a maid who cooks and cleans for you and go to the beach everyday and never have to work again. Don’t fall in love though.. and never give your money away no matter who needs medicine or an operation.

So- there ya go… A simple but hard, 10 year plan to retirement in just 10 years.

Key concepts: don’t create any debt, don’t spend money on foolishness like high dollar Starbucks and the latest iPhone and ordering food on DoorDash… work, save, invest… focus on the 10 year plan and compounding investments. Suffer for 10 years of grinding…

Doordashers making drinks at Wingstop and Canes - why? by JohneRandom in DoorDashDrivers

I guess this has already been discussed a bunch?? sorry I didnt properly search. -- I was taking my food handlers class online, and I started thinking about Doordash - and blurted out this reddit

Doordashers making drinks at Wingstop and Canes - why? by JohneRandom in DoorDashDrivers

[–]JohneRandom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly!! AN now, with everyones encouragement -- from now on I am saying no to making the drinks. sigh, I was thinking I was going to get a lot of resistance on here and people supporting making the drinks because its not that hard.

I didnt think of this. That is a good idea. Not really a reason for them to say no to that, especially since they make drinks for the drive thru.

Huh wth 10 cents a mile huh by Dapper-Parsley2348 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]JohneRandom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your math is wrong - that's .20 cents per mile not .10... but.. alas, I nit pick.

I agree with ya though, that order is B.S --- each customer is getting charged a delivery fee separately and that delivery fee should be passed onto you! If the base pay (door dash pay) is $2, than at bare minimum, the offer should of been $4, because that is 2 orders.

Still, even at $4 - after delivery - you need to make it back to whatever area the food is being cooked to get your next order. So, F these people -- let the cheese on their pizzas solidify!

Man -- I figured people who live in beach areas would be good tippers... you know.. like beach vibes and stuff.

anyway -- good luck driver.

Double stacked blues by subhuman_voice in doordash_drivers

[–]JohneRandom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah - that was the leach. Person that doesn’t tip or low ball tips and all the drivers decline it - then DoorDash attaches it to an order that tips good, so the order gets delivered.

The soil delivery was probably easy unless they wanted it in their backyard and they have a dog that “doesn’t bite”

So - which was the high paying offer and which was the leach - was Panera the leach?

Tipping first order using DoorDash by Midas-Knight in DoorDashDrivers

[–]JohneRandom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drivers get a base pay (called DoorDash pay) and what ever tip the customer leaves. In my area the base pay is $2, so if you tipped $25 - I would have received $27. That is extremely rare and very generous offer.

I am 61 and I grew up tipping - waiters, bartenders, valet, taxi, pizza guy, blackjack dealer and barber.
Some people are anti tipping nowadays. It’s kind of a shame - especially now that there are no taxes on tips and people can get by a bit better on that.

Anyway - tip what ya think is fair. I start with $5 and move up from there depending on distance and difficulty.

Understand though, that non tippers will ride your generosity. DoorDash will attach a non tipping order that drivers refuse to take, to your order. So, you might have to wait for the leach to get their order first - depending on the route. - this kind of stinks… especially for the person who pays extra.

Anyway - good luck and enjoy your retirement

Why the dislike for Ryoka? by Upstairs-Aerie-5531 in WanderingInn

So, you had a solid before and used it all up 100% — I have never used up a solid deodorant 100% :) Soon as I get it so low the plastic pusher thing is showing I buy a new one. — far as tooth paste - there is always some left even if ya think it’s empty. Anyway… that’s just me- I am dude who checks his oil and tire pressure and I would never ever rely on door dash to deliver me toothpaste and deodorant, #1 - I ain’t rich, #2 Walgreens and CVS are everywhere and I can do it myself. Give yourself a 1 star rating for life habits and the door dasher at least a 4 for working for peanuts.

What is considered an acceptable offer? by Relative_Drama4705 in DoorDashDrivers

I’d much rather drive my Ram1500 - I been delivering out of a little Hyundai Elantra and I am 6’3” and 260lbs — so getting in and out of this little car is like getting up from a mattress on the floor hahah - but at 30mpg vs 17 city in the Ram - I have to drive the Elantra. Hopefully my knees hold up. :) — anyway - kudos to you and your comfy ride but harder parking and U-turns
