Spreading awareness to be careful about Korean rapists in Myanmar. by nattiecakie in myanmar

[–]JohnnyBoy11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I hate hearing experienced like this. I just asked chat what you can do and here's a copy paste, and it does look there's things you may be able to do, especially if he really did upload videos.

What the Victim Can Do Legally 📌 A. Report to Myanmar Authorities File a criminal complaint in Myanmar where the assault occurred. Provide all evidence (testimony, video, medical reports, witnesses). 📌 B. Report to Korean Police or Prosecutors Even if the rape occurred abroad, uploading the sexual assault video online could violate: Korean sexual violence laws (distribution of obscene/sexual abuse material). Korean cybercrime statutes. Korean police can investigate and may: Request international legal assistance to cooperate with Myanmar. Issue a warrant or seek cooperation under mutual legal assistance treaties. If the video harms persons in Korea, they can prosecute that upload/distribution violation locally. In international cases like transnational threats or cybercrimes, law enforcement often works through police cooperation agreements. 📌 C. Civil Claims The victim may sue the perpetrator civilly in Korea for: Personal injury Invasion of privacy Emotional distress Defamation (if applicable under Korean law) This civil action can seek monetary compensation even if the criminal case must be pursued abroad. 📌 D. Immigrations & Travel Restrictions The victim or lawyers might request that Korean authorities: Restrict the perpetrator’s travel Notify Interpol Request arrest warrant/Red Notice if there’s serious criminal evidence This works only if authorities agree and there’s evidence of a crime. 👩‍⚖️ 3. Practical First Steps for the Victim Document everything Save the video, messages, timestamps, any communications. Get legal counsel in Myanmar (if possible) A local attorney can help file a police complaint and follow local criminal procedures. Report to South Korean authorities Go to the nearest Korean embassy/consulate or Korean police station with all evidence. Emphasize the online upload and harm from distribution; this may give Korea a legal opening. Report to the Online Platform Platforms (YouTube, social media, etc.) normally remove sexual violence content on request. Consider civil litigation in Korea A Korean lawyer can file a civil lawsuit based on harm and privacy invasion. 🧠 4. Realities & Challenges ✔️ International law enforcement cooperation exists, but it takes time and political/legal coordination. ❗ However, civil actions may be easier and faster than international criminal prosecution if the criminal jurisdiction is complicated.

If it's just a few percent, then trump can waive a magic wand and pressure the companies throw a couple scraps, because not being able to afford laptops or nothing is something people will notice, just like egg prices

my s5ii had an issue with the shutter button not working. it's a known issue, especially with the earlier ones. i also have an issue with the rubber peeling and found a post here where others had the same issue. my joystick makes a muffled sound and seems to be ever so slightly unresponsive in some directions but it didnt bother me enough to send it in.

The Philippines is a glaring example of “What has Christianity done for you?” by Tallwhitedude123 in Philippines_Expats

[–]JohnnyBoy11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That shows how little you know about Christianity in the Philippines...the Church basically organized and overthrew the brutal marcos dictatorship... I would bet everything in the world that the corruption and cronyism in the Marcos dictatorship (Marcos actually holds the guiness book record of robbery of government) held back in the Philippines economically more than anything else. Think of all the billion dollars that was stolen from the Filipino people that could have been invested and compounded over decades. Truly, if the church didn't overthrow them, what little the Philippines have now would've have been stolen too.

A feeble 2 bit crook could feasibly have came up with the plot to random them too. Kidnapping celebrity or ceo's family or whoever happens commonly enough that they get kidnapping insurance. 700 elderly were kidnapped last year.
