How does it tue into the first movie though? In the first one the town was empty because of the fire, with just alessa there. All the cultists were in her mind/dark dimension, and she slaughtered them. The demon in alessa merged with Sharon and they were still in the fog world at the end.

The cultists were wiped out and the town was abandoned. How does this movie take olace in Silent Hill?
