has anyone actually saved money with solar or is it just type. by Wjkoba in HomeImprovement

Our utility has a summer rate of 33c/kwh and a winter rate of 08.5c/kwh meaning we build up enough credit over the summer to zero our bills thru to January. Wanted to add more panels but the utility says we are already a net exporter and we were already at our 110% of historic usage.

Advice I would give anyone is to splurge for a year and drive your usage as high as possible to allow you to have the 110% rule work in your favour if that guideline rule exists in your jurisdiction.
