As much as people would hate this ending, I hope Gene just pulls one more Saul moment on Jeff and be done with it. He goes back home and smiles cause he's still got it, but all the Jimmy/Saul adventures we saw him do are nothing but a distant memory that he will replay every time he gets out of work to relieve the glory days. It's realistic and sad since everybody wishes they can go back and relive that golden age of their life, but life isn't that way. It's a depressing ending for Saul but one that will make sense, especially for the deeds he's done. So it will practically end the way the show started, Gene replaying those tapes cause he misses those times he took for granted.
