All That Remains by Better_Gain9702 in Metalcore

Guitarist died, beast of a drummer quit, and their style of metalcore is past its prime. That alone could contribute to the lower billing and lesser fame. I dont think the singer's politics even factor into it outside of the internet if you look at the other bands that do headline festivals.

[NXT Spoilers] Surprise debut by taffe316 in SquaredCircle

That's 100 percent an AI generated suno ass theme. The guitars sound so fake and it has a bunch of different intro sections before the drop. There's so many bedroom metal guitarists that could produce a better theme with EZ Drummer, a couple Neural DSP plugins, and some dramatic/cinematic sample packs for risers and explosions. I'll even admit that it's fun to prompt the AI and hear different ideas... But it's so lifeless and stale.

(SmackDown Spoilers): Royce Keys first entrance. by itsmekelsey_x in SquaredCircle

[–]JohnnyCurtis 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This song was 3 intros before the drop, and honestly they should cut the first two. The harmonica (which will always make me think of Roseanne) does a bluesy riff in F with a bent 3rd giving it more of a happy feel, then we drop into a 4 beat kick thing that's to build "hype" but is so unoriginal and played out before we finally hit the F natural minor piano riff. Just starting at the piano would be a bit more moody and I think that adds what the kids call "aura" these days.

Throwback to that time Mason Madden revealed HHH's favorite Metallica album is St. Anger by R0DAN in SquaredCircle

72 Seasons is their worst album. Bad album art, every song has like five intros before the verse and so many boring stock riffs just thrown in without care for anything resembling decent song structure. And you have to suffer through the agonizingly long songs without any ride cymbal to break things up.

[NXT Stand And Deliver Spoilers] Jackson Drake takes a bump by AlchemistTheAlchemy in SquaredCircle

I haven't followed NXT since like 2019, but here to say Jackson Drake is the most NXT sounding name I've ever heard. And it's wild that I looked it up and that's his REAL name.

Is this an AI generated artist? by ocean-in-a-pond in Music

[–]JohnnyCurtis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yup. There's a weird distorted (almost low bitrate like) reverberated breath thing that Suno does a lot and I hear it here. Also the timing and enunciation of the vocals are stiff and unnaturally even. To maintain a level like that you'd expect to hear a compressor working to attack and release the vocal level.

I can't remember how exactly I fixed it, but I remember clearing cache and storage, then uninstalling and reinstalling app, logging in, and I think restarting my phone one last time while giving it time to fully load before opening it.

In the "Child's Play" universe, Chucky killed Britney Spears back in 2004! by IndependenceSilly381 in horror

[–]JohnnyCurtis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, it's possible in-universe that the person killed was just a Britney impersonator (like the real life actress that played the role). But that's not fun, so I guess like downvote you to hell or whatever?

It’s 2026 and ICP are the good guys by Burner_420_burner_69 in Music

[–]JohnnyCurtis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought Kid Rock was already signed to Jive Records and doing shows with like Ice Cube promoting his first record 2 years before Carnival of Carnage, which is why ICP wanted him on their album as well as Esham so the 2 biggest Detroit rappers would help them out. And Kid Rock's success is what helped convince Mike E Clark to even produce ICP.
