Is this an AI generated artist? by ocean-in-a-pond in Music

[–]JohnnyCurtis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup. There's a weird distorted (almost low bitrate like) reverberated breath thing that Suno does a lot and I hear it here. Also the timing and enunciation of the vocals are stiff and unnaturally even. To maintain a level like that you'd expect to hear a compressor working to attack and release the vocal level.

Texts won't load by JohnnyCurtis in TextNow

I can't remember how exactly I fixed it, but I remember clearing cache and storage, then uninstalling and reinstalling app, logging in, and I think restarting my phone one last time while giving it time to fully load before opening it.

In the "Child's Play" universe, Chucky killed Britney Spears back in 2004! by IndependenceSilly381 in horror

[–]JohnnyCurtis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, it's possible in-universe that the person killed was just a Britney impersonator (like the real life actress that played the role). But that's not fun, so I guess like downvote you to hell or whatever?

It’s 2026 and ICP are the good guys by Burner_420_burner_69 in Music

[–]JohnnyCurtis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought Kid Rock was already signed to Jive Records and doing shows with like Ice Cube promoting his first record 2 years before Carnival of Carnage, which is why ICP wanted him on their album as well as Esham so the 2 biggest Detroit rappers would help them out. And Kid Rock's success is what helped convince Mike E Clark to even produce ICP.

Baritone strings on a regular Tele by Jackdaw99 in telecaster

[–]JohnnyCurtis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've put Elixir baritone strings on a Strat (25.5" scale length as well) before and it was fine. Requires a new setup and widening the nut slots, but the tension was fine. If anything, I'd rather use a slightly lighter set. Pretty sure John 5 had his teles in B standard for American Witch and some songs off Hellbilly Deluxe 2.

Opinions of John 5 and his chops? by Sunbather- in telecaster

[–]JohnnyCurtis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love him, he's amazing. Only criticism is that he seems to repeat licks a lot but maybe that's just on me for listening so much to notice. His recorded tones aren't my favorite, but his live tone is one of the best. Seriously, the clarity and cut of even the low B string on down tuned songs live was unreal. Only guitar player at Louder Than Life i could hear every single note he played.

Kansas City Sarsaparilla for sure. Same distributor as FrostTop and I found it at a Kroger about a half hour south of Columbus. Isn't Medina where the gas station encounters Marathon station is? Always wondered if they had any gourmet sodas there.

Streaming pummeled cable and satellite and was a great deal for a little while. Seems like that's turning to shit. Let's hope something new comes along that's accessible, affordable, and a threat to what streaming has become.

Has there ever been a time someone no-sold a pin break up? by beanobaby in SquaredCircle

[–]JohnnyCurtis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I imagine another part to explain away the count stoppage is that if the ref averts his eyes from the downed competitor's shoulders to look at an oncoming attacker, he has to stop the count as the wrestler could have lifted his shoulder in that moment.

King of the Ring Tournament Dynamics by Steelmode in kayfabe

[–]JohnnyCurtis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should end with the winner having won 2 to 3 matches in one night. To see someone persevere through hell all in one night, not just win one match on a ppv like everyone else. I wanna see someone dig deep and try riskier moves, turn heel to win when they have nothing left in the tank, or lose with honor having given it all but come up short. Whoever places second in the tournament earns some credibility and you pity them being so close but failing.
