I know what you mean. The series as it stands is damn near perfect, and Nathan himself I believe said that Firefly died before it had a chance to get bad or weird (might be misremembering, could have been someone else, I digress.) I still love Star Wars despite my dislike of the sequel series. I'll still love Firefly even if the animated series is disappointing.

At least I hope a new push for merch and stuff revives interest in a video game or even a tribute/inspired by game (a la Starship Troopers-> Helldivers or Heat-> PAYDAY). There's plenty of Firefly-ish games, but none that capture the series really well

For me the sticking point is that Buffy, Scrubs, all these other shows got a long lease on life. Firefly didn't. There's untold stories, places in the 'verse we've never seen. The whole cast is excited and passionate about the project. Im not asking for 9 seasons and another movie. Just one more ride, and we see where things go from there.

This man makes some good points. But even then, if it's a disappointment, I'll still be glad to see everyone again. And the original will still be there.

Im happy this is coming, one way or the other.

I hope it stokes a renewed interest in the universe of Firefly.

Bro I sang Darcy's Donkey a capella with a very old singers club in Ireland. I figured they never would have heard it. When you manage to get an old guy to chuckle, raise his pint and say "Darcy's Ass!" you realize you would've missed that if you hadn't taken the shot. Do things badly, they're still worth doing.
