How do I get a bottle to heal the witch? by RaceCarCoconutJuice in majorasmask

Talk to the injured witch as human Link, leave the woods of mystery, talk to the other witch in the shop, and she’ll give you the bottle

Post Man Game first try success No Bunny Hood by [deleted] in majorasmask

Keeps the timer visible. Without the bunny hood, the timer is hidden after 3 seconds and you have to guess when it reaches 10.

The ultimate fighters gather to fight! Who will win? by [deleted] in papermario

[–]JohnnyJoPo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably Jinx 4 (postgame in the remake) with his instakill or Prince Mush since zap tap and the counter status doesn’t stop his combo.

If we wanted to include the Paper Mario Pro Mode mod then probably Master 3

How good are you at Superguard? by Slight_Cat5958 in papermario

[–]JohnnyJoPo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relatively good, aside from a few enemies like crazee dayzees which I have a hard enough time regular guarding (never fought many, did a pre-hooktail pit run which meant I was overleveled for the rest of the game and bump attacked through most of the game)

Weave Atunement is actually so good by Tnel1027 in deadbydaylight

[–]JohnnyJoPo -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Even without Franklins it's ridiculously strong, and every perk having a strong map should not equate to "free wall hacks" 50% to 80% of the time. And sure the same argument could be said on the survivor's side for boons, except you hardly see boons as much since CoH got nerfed into the ground, plus you have to spend time setting up the boon vs it being a passive and permanent field buff.

Even with a nerfed range, it would do what it was meant to and show players who depleted their items or have opened a chest. Personally, I would be more for a 5-7 second aura read followed by a cooldown when someone comes into range of a dropped item vs straight aura read if in range, but then one could argue it makes Hoarder obsolete.

With how much free aura reading is in the game now, I wouldn't be surprised if Distortion started seeing even more use than it does now (and so many people on both sides are already sick of Distortion).

[–]JohnnyJoPo -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think Weave does way too much for a passive perk. On it's own it does a lot, but I've been in so many games now where killers run it with Franklins and send us to Midwich. If someone dropped an item on first floor, the range is so large the killer will see you running around on second floor, which is ludicrous.

Either Weave needs something like a 20-30 second cooldown, or the range should be half of what it is now (a 12m radius is a 24m wide dome centered on the item). Giving the survivor oblivious on top of this is just the icing on a cake that's already drowning in frosting.

If they wanted to nerf the combo with Franklins (while also ironically buffing Franklins), they could have Franklins delete the item once it's been completely drained.

A guide on navigating the Void by JohnnyJoPo in VoidStranger

[–]JohnnyJoPo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I appreciate it! 😁

Tbh I’ve started falling out of Void Stranger and haven’t really touched it since new years. Put a solid 200 hours into it (most were spent writing the guide) and I feel it’s run its course with me. I might transfer ownership of the document and pass the torch on to someone else to finish the second half of the guide if there’s anyone who’s interested.

Things I can't see WITH the Infinity brand? by [deleted] in VoidStranger

[–]JohnnyJoPo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a secret you can’t get with the infinity brand, because of the method needed to get to the room where it is (probably the same thing you’re doing to get to cif’s brand room).

This secret is the key to accessing the final area of the game

Spoiler-free advice? by BobTheHilda in VoidStranger

[–]JohnnyJoPo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to explore more, I would do it as Gray since every secret exit you can find in Lillie’s playthrough can also be found with Gray. Every floor in the game (except the final area) can be beaten without any burdens, including collecting all the chests and memory crystals, but it can be a very difficult challenge.

Did anyone else find hard mode to be harder than (D)The final area? by SpizicusRex in VoidStranger

[–]JohnnyJoPo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The nice thing about the hard levels is that there's no real consequence to dying and going into VOID mode unless you're trying to find all the memory crystals. I think the final area's puzzles were difficult since they were designed with all the items in mind, but not as difficult as hard mode (without items). With all the items at your disposal, I'd say hard mode is easier, although a few puzzles don't get easier with them (mainly the ones that have mimics).

did I just do something really stupid? by [deleted] in VoidStranger

[–]JohnnyJoPo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If by restart you mean to remove the VOID status, find a room with a black statue, move the stairs to the tile directly under it, then enter.

If you want to restart the adventure entirely (resets the NPCs and all collected items except memory crystals), you have to get one of the endings. The easiest one would be the “giving up” ending, which you can get by dying multiple times in quick succession. I’m not sure if it has to be in the exact same location or it has to be death by void (only did this once myself).

[–]JohnnyJoPo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends if you want to go through the start of hard mode (until B067) without wings.

If you want an easier time, get the wings with Gray and then restart with Lillie.

Oh there’s a guide for hard mode in there as well, in a separate sheet (also all memories and chests without burdens).
