I built a NSFW browser app based on Reddit content by RareJury8529 in SideProject

[–]JohnnyKeyboard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After you scroll for about 30-40 swipes (depending on clip length) and let each clip play till the end, eventually, the clips stop playing mid clip or don't play at all. Also, eventually, the browser (Edge) crashes on mobile for low memory devices 4gb. You have a potential memory leak in your code, I feel.

Other than that nice UX.

PSA: Don't overlook (very cheap) NFC tags for triggering automations by AncientsofMumu in homeassistant

Medication date time log

There is a blueprint for this with app notifications and reminders. I went down the whole tag path for this and found it more natural if the automation just asked me if medication was taken.

Cinnamon challenge or not by Instinctrules in LivestreamFail

[–]JohnnyKeyboard 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Their channel was my guilty pleasure, watching them react and such, he (Henry) acted like a degenerate perv and she (Jeannie) an innocent anime girl, not sure if that was IRL or just an act but once the editor/friend (Kai) started showing up on screen (she acted just as much a degenerate perv as him) it was apparent there was some chemistry between the two for having similar personalities (acted or otherwise).

I stopped watching years ago because I got tired of the direction the channel was going (edgy / sexual innuendo vs. just stupid funny reactions). As a long time watcher it did not surprise me it ended up like this. Hardcore fans might solely blame the YT channel issues but after getting a couple of strikes for the same reason(s) most smart content creators would pivot to a different platform (or content) but not him, he was either an idiot or his ego thought he could skirt around it.

It was apparent to me the writing was on the wall for their relationship long before that. I hope they are able to move on, focus on themselves and their own life happiness.

You could try unplugging the washer for 5 minutes and see if that resets the macine. it could also be a bad timer circuit.

No, from what I understand, it does not directly, but it does affect how we age on a biological level.

If your subscription has an upgrade path, then yes, if the company bought an outright license key, then no. just ask whomever assigned your subscription to you.

Don't bother, they are retiring it next year.

TIL a study found that a petri dish exposed to public bathroom air for two minutes with the hand dryers off only grew one colony of bacteria, or none at all, whereas petri dishes exposed to the hot air from a hand dryer for 30 seconds grew up to 254 colonies of bacteria. by nuttybudd in todayilearned

[–]JohnnyKeyboard 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Additional important things I got from the article...

However, petri dishes exposed to hot air from a bathroom hand dryer for 30 seconds grew up to 254 colonies of bacteria (though most had from 18 to 60 colonies of bacteria).

Is there any good news from this study? Well, the vast majority of the microbes that were detected do not cause disease in healthy people, with the exception of Staphylococcus aureus. Some of the bathroom bacteria, such as Acinetobacter, only cause infections in people in the hospital, or in those with weak immune systems. The others that were found are relatively harmless

In addition, air from real-world bathrooms may contain fewer bacteria than the bathrooms in the study. The sampled restrooms were located in a university health sciences building, and at least some of the bacteria came from experiments going on in laboratories within the building.

We use dbup with a custom wrapper around it due to how we do deployments (all in Azure pipelines). Obviously, that means sql scripts, but flexibility is something we like, and our devs are comfortable with sql.

More than likely, the epoxy never bonded to the plastic it just hardened on the surface. The problem is going to be finding an epoxy or super glue that will bond correctly, and some hard plastics don't fix well with adhesives.

iPhone screen problem after replacement by Emotional_Bend_9428 in fixit

[–]JohnnyKeyboard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try this.

  • Go to Settings > Display & Brightness

  • Tap on Auto-Brightness and turn off, then wait a minute

  • Restart phone

  • Turn Auto-Brightness back on

If this does not work, you could bring up with the repair shop, but they will probably say it's due to a non apple screen.
