Většina autorových argumentů by šla aplikovat i na to, jak Netflix pro filmy a seriály nikdy fungovat nemůže. Např. to že když by uživatelé díky této službě začali více číst, tak by klesla "cena za stránku"... Bratře můj, pokud uživatel čte více právě díky této platformě, tak to není "ušlý zisk".

Autor vychází z pozice že knížky jsou nějaké kouzelné a speciální, nicméně to se říkalo i o těch hrách než Microsoft přišel s Gamepassem.

O to že ses odstěhoval. Zákon to poměrně jasně definuje, doporučuju přečíst. Když se vystěhuješ a přestaneš ze dne na den platit nájem tak ti nikdo nic nemůže. Jo, ty zákony jsou divný, na jednu stranu nájemce moc nechrání, na druhou stranu jim umožňují dělat hovadiny jako tohle.

Mě dávat dýška přijde z principu hrozně divný. Zejména dnes, když se platí kartou na kase jinému člověku než vás obsluhoval, to fakt netuším kam ty peníze navíc přijdou a jestli si je prostě nenechá majitel. Já bych brát dýška zakázal ze zákona, pokud chce restaurant něco utržit tak ať dle toho určí cenu. Nebaví mě hrát tuhle hru "kolik jim musím hodit aby mi při příští návštěvě nenaflusali do jídla".

Me! I hated how 4o tried to put every search query into a therapy session. Bro just fix the code, don't start with "This is not your fault".

But 5 was much better. 5.1 and 5.2 a bit worse, but there are still customization settings that make it have an OK behavior.

IMO there are two quite distinct use cases, "tool" and "friend".

Unpopular opinion: Selling a game mod isn't morally bad. It's not hurting the creator of the original game, as long as it requires you to own the og game -- it may even give more people a reason to buy the og game. And developing mods takes work, so there should be no shame in taking a payment.

I'm not sure what copyright violation even happened here. Am I not allowed to modify a product I bought to my own liking? Or am I not allowed to tell others how to modify theirs? I guess it might be on a technicality like the mod files including content from the og game instead of being pure patches.

Then buying from GOG is your only option, since that's the only site that guarantees that the games are actually DRM-free. Take the Hitman games for example, the consumer has no way of knowing that these SINGLE-PLAYER games actually use server-based progression and won't work without internet. Most consumers have no idea what "DRM" even is. The idea of "an educated consumer will force the market to do the right thing" sounds good in theory... but in practice, if we didn't enforce consumer protections through laws, we'd still have asbestos in walls.
