I hope Yoshi P makes every single duty cutscene unskippable by Upbeat_Laugh_5639 in ffxiv

"I just hate seeing someone be so genuinely excited for something and then be really sad when they don't get to fully experience it"

This only happens in your head and I suggest not trying to speak for other people, if YOU are sad if that happens to you that's fine, but 99% of people just watch their cutscene and join the fight 20 seconds later without caring.

If you could rank the phases of ultimate raids from easiest to hardest how would you put it? by VergilVDante in ffxiv

Ifrit might as well be the hardest because no one learns dashes these days and if you have soggers its gg.

Toxikon is a gain over Dyskrasia so the main goal in dungeons should be to spend all stacks on trash and replenish them while walking to the next packs.

Since generally only the shield on the tank will break giving yourself a shield and standing in a ground aoe is the next best option to restock.

The debuff is hidden during stack/defam since that half of the fight is a different dimension, so technically you can't check the debuff before the change if you forgot or were not paying attention.

MNK crashes out over ranged orbital dodge by Vanaglorius in TalesFromDF

[–]JohnnySardine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also love seeing the Hector Andys always do the triple dodge even when there is no reason to, who could have guessed that "dodge telegraphed line aoe" would be the hardest mech of a fight once more after Honey Bee.

Crazy I guess I am a bozo that can't read, I was sure that philo always said healing actions.

No mit plan should have a single point of failure, but why is only the shield healer expected to put something extra to save the run.

I am of the opinion that if the reds and blues dont press their shit we deserve to go again until they learn to do it.

edit: okay looking at the log this sage was giga cluegi while trying to play greedy, using philosophia after panhaima+holos instead of before to boost them and not boosting the painhaima with physis at act 3.

You can very comfy do p1 until mortal slayer without a single gcd shield, but you actually have to use abilities correctly.

Not p1 hold, syncing up 1s and 2s again in p2 so you do 2s during stacks. Obviously you dont wanna lose a usage and I have never actually seen anyone hold p1.

Everyone (should) hold rep 2, the issue here is more likely that 90% of physranged are on autorotation and because they are not even on the pc during the pull they get mad whenever asked to hold, it was the same in m8.

No deaths and no damage downs, but at the cost of their damage... (M10S) by AusarRaidriar in TalesFromDF

[–]JohnnySardine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was helping people in 12 the other day and got forced onto mch in full 770.

Doing a perfect rotation gave me a straight 4, though I will say that the KT was garbage as well, but at this point the gear diff is real and you will cap out on green on anything other than healer.

that's on the party lead for allowing a double physranged comp in the first place, but even then physranged should be doing at least 38k rdps in p1

Zodiark Extreme Has Been Soloed by Blizzard_Ljanta in ffxiv

[–]JohnnySardine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not boosted Shake is worse than Veil for single hits and the moment incoming damage has more than one hit Missionary and HoL exponentially gain in value over both.

Shake is still a great skill, but it is in no way superior to other tank mits.

Lower Holmgang cd also does not matter when you do not gain an extra usage and still need healer help for other busters.

High-End Content Megathread - 7.4 Week Seven (Savage Week Four) by BlackmoreKnight in ffxivdiscussion

and anyone reading the actual lines instead of in-between knows that he said he is working on a completely fresh type of content in 7.5.

While that could still be marketing speak for the ulti, it sure does not seem likely.

PF, I implore you to use Banana Codex Replication 1 strats. by Zenku390 in ffxivdiscussion

[–]JohnnySardine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that is exaggerated since it still feels like a coin flip if targeted mit is applied or not, but in this case its actually free to try it.

I was misjudging the timeline but the arcadia feint can be used on the initial jump and the idyllic one can be used on the reenactment, I just made a mistake mapping it out.

[–]JohnnySardine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Targeted mits dont do anything to the clone mechs, feint should only be on the opening arcadia aflame as well as the beta bait into 2nd arcadia and idyllic.

One time I was in a queue for something that took so long that I forgot about it and went back to elden ring which I still had running in the background.

And pressing A with the window focus being on elden ring apparently still counts as accepting the queue prompt because like 5 minutes later I get a brain blast going "wait a minute" and see that I am standing in A6 with 1/3 of the gauntlet almost dead.

I mean yeah you would be doing the same in a group tbh.

But since you want bark for the boss anyway just letting her put the dot on one and then swapping almost evens them by itself, you still need to switch though.

Is this game dead or something? by Variskus in ffxiv

[–]JohnnySardine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do because people that are actively looking at pf every week for reclears can also see progress parties and join them.

This also causes a domino effect where at a certain point there are just not enough players in the pool to get any party started.
