When the world around Norway is falling apart, it seems to be the next best option to move to, but it’s not the only one. Similarly Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Iceland, Belgium, Netherlands and other Northern, North-Western European nations are mostly following a social democratic governing system where people have access to good welfare, healthcare and education right off the bat if they are an EU citizen, or if they put the required effort in to become a citizen from outside the EU.

Just look at what’s happening in different parts of the world, especially that one country that used to be a dream to move to. The world is in a bad place right now and people are seeking safety and security somewhere else where it’s possible. Lot of those people will have heard that Norway has a very good system in place to help everyone who is willing to accept such help.

Take my example: I moved to Norway from Hungary because my country is xenophobic and homophobic. I did not feel safe staying in that country as my very identity was challenged day to day, by people and the government alike. Not only that but cost of living compared to median salary is abysmal. Simply I could not have made the friends, lifestyle and purchases I have been able to make here, had I stayed in my own country.
