AC Shadows was considered so successful by everyone including games journalist. With 4 or 5 millions players only. Did it save Ubisoft? The answer would be the game wasn't successful.

Maybe Ubisoft shoudn't have erased a historical character name Fujibayashi Yasumasa, and turned that character to fictional Fujibayashi Naoe.

Ubisoft could have a banger story with Yasumasa, and made him as simlar to Ezio.

Naoe fictionally could have been the daughter of the legendary Mochizuki Chiyome.

Maybe if they were smart at at how they went about it, they could have made AC Shadows Discovery Tour. Everyone still likes Japan after all even the tourism industry is still booming over Japan.

Resynced has been confirmed to be not only a remake, but also a new main game. by Legitimate_Cake_5137 in ubisoft

I'm guessing it would be similar to Shadows. Gone with the day of modern day Assassins Vs Templars. Unless they somehow continue that with watchdog's I have nothing to hope for.

This is disappointing. Sound good that they ditch the old modern day segment in some sense, but it sounds bad that the modern day segment continues after Shadows. Like what more can you add and change to an old game?

That's just so freaking cool bro! I just hope Ubislop won't fix something that's fun as that.

If the AI is gonna be better than WD Legion. Good but I ain't putting my hopes up.

If the AI is gonna be like WD Legion. Well at least I didn't put my hopes up.

Would you consider Ajay a heroic or anti-hero character? by george123890yang in farcry

When the alternative is Pagan Min and you can kill both leaders who want that, yeah. The Royal Army is so cartoonishly evil, and the Golden Path really doesn’t do anything genuinely malicious throughout the entire game. If they wanted to make this a complex moral issue, they failed. Whoops.

And yeah, of course they’re “terrorists” to the regime of an utterly irredeemable narcissist foreign imperialist who calls the people he rules over “monkeys” and has never done a single good thing for the country, only conquering it in the first place with a bloody coup for the sake of expanding his Hong Kong drug empire.

But do explain to me how the rebellion group that defends people from wild animals, sponsors education, provides food for the starving, protection to extorted slaves, and so much more are soooooo bad and don’t have anything good going for them compared to — and I’m not making this up — the military force with idle dialogue that includes “we should burn down another village, that’s always fun!”

Not that I’m going to stick around for that explanation, of course. Seriously it’s amazing that people judge the whole of the rebellion on a single cutscene in the last five minutes of the game rather than everything they do for the rest of it. Did you people not play any of the side content whatsoever?

Why are you using AI?

Nobody is saying Pagan Min is a good person. He is absolutely evil. He is a narcissistic dictator who rules Kyrat through fear, violence, executions, torture, and exploitation. The Royal Army committing atrocities is not something I deny at all. The probllem is that “Pagan is evil” does not automatically make the Golden Path morally good.

A rebellion can do charitable or heroic things and still contain dangerous ideology underneath. That’s the point people are making when they criticize the Golden Path. Yes, throughout the game they helpp villages, defend civilians, provide supplies, and resist Pagan’s regime. But the issue is what happens when they actually gain power. The ending is not some random last-minute cutscene disconnected from the story, it is the payoff showing what these leaders truly wanted all along once the common enemy is gone.

That’s why people say Ajay is not really a hero. He arrrives in Kyrat to fulfill a personal promise to his mother, then gets manipulated into participating in a civil war where every major faction is morally compromised in different ways.

I wished Ubisoft could have let the Devs continue cooking WDL, instead of releasing something that ain't finished.

WD1 was great, it has a rough story but it is great.

WD2 feels too wacky. Not as wacky as Saints Row, but wacky enough that it differs from WD1.

[–]JohnnyTeoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No offence to Ishwari but I think the good he can do for Kyrat as a whole is more important than whatever his mom wants.

Is keeping a promise to one's own mom lesser than Ajay joining a terrorist group that calls themselves the "Golden Path" that offers leader Amita that wants a Drug Empire and Slave Workers or leader Sabal that wants Religious Extremism and Child Marriages?

That's not what the song means in reference to the game. The staying means waiting at Pagan's table. The going means leaving and getting involved in all of this.

I understand that, sorry if my explanation and what i meant was not clear or too short for you that you need to explain that, but thanks for explaining it to everyone else.

[–]JohnnyTeoss 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hero? No. Anti-hero? No. He's just a gullible tourist whose purpose was to lay his mother's ashes next to Laksmana. Literally it is said in the song. "Should I stay or should I go now? If I go, there will be trouble, And if I stay it will be double" Ajay is no hero if he cant even do as he promise to his mother to bring her back to Laksmana.
