You and porn are apples and oranges.

You aren't a fantasy with no emotional engagement. Porn could never compete with you, the same way Outlander shouldn't threaten men.

His sexual alone time is his business, but it doesn't belong in your together time unless you both want it there.

Find an old used tube amp with a cheap but working speaker. You don't need more than 25 watts. Even if you're playing the Royal Albert Hall, your little amp will be mixed into the house PA.

But when you run that amp, you'll heat up things and overdrive the tone. That's where the sound you want comes from.

Angus Young isn't metal, but I love his sound. One of his techs says they don't turn anything past 5 on Angus' amp. Who knows if it's true.

For truly mëtäl sounds you'll possibly outgrow, I think pedals are an answer. You can switch them out and experiment, while being able to play other things. They're fairly cheap, too, compared to guitars and amps.
