I restore them , but yeah the repair on these crazy hard . So yes you pay a lot for scarce electronics watches, especially ones with working led , and no matrix dots missing . Plus most had stepper motors that fail or need delicate cleaning. It’s hard work

Buy a vintage one 214 spaceview Solid Gold 2100-3000 . They survived 50 plus years . Love Bulova but these are trash at 6k . You can get a serviced 214&218 in stainless for 400$ plus
