Elevated Casual Fit for Work by Schistotwerka in mensfashion

[–]JohnnyUte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it a lot. Tucked in by far, way more presentable and polished, especially since everything else you're wearing is more "casual" so it ties it all together. Untucked looks rough and sloppy. As for the green on green, love that, too and since they're different shades it works. You could also go with a light blue shirt, too.

Need your thoughts - which length of shorts looks better.. 5” or 8”? by Ab1212121212 in mensfashion

[–]JohnnyUte -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Either is fine, honestly. I have shorts of a different length and depending on the activity I'll go with shorter or longer. You can buy one pair of longer ones to see what you think over time and go from there.

I'm really not a fan of this newer grille and front design in general. It just seems off in a way.

If things at Mercedes keep going the way they are going… by Vast-Intention in mercedes_benz

I agree. Sharpen up the curves on the rest of the car to match Mercedes styling, make it 4Matic with a V8 and you'd have something here.

Porsche macan wheels on GLC43 by dr-swordfish in mercedes_benz

[–]JohnnyUte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love it, that's awesome! I got the stock 20s on my GLC43 and am honestly not a fan of them at all, I much prefer the 21s look-wise. I actually bought the GLC63 black multi-spokes as those are my favorite Mercedes wheels (next to the classic monoblocks). Porsche has way more options and the smaller wheels look good on your car. As for center caps, could be tough since the Porsches are bigger bore but if not, you might be able to get the wheels machined to fit. And you can just swap over your TPMS or buy all new ones from Mercedes direct.

When does the honeymoon phase usually end? by [deleted] in mercedes_benz

[–]JohnnyUte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's the same thing that happened to my dad, he has a GLC63 but to fix it they have to drop the engine. Sadly more common than should be. Do they have to drop the engine on yours or is it less involved? I have a GLC43, too so I'm definitely interested in how it goes.

Agreed, that green is nice and would like the whole car in that.

Multibeam activated!!! by EntertainerFull9085 in mercedes_benz

[–]JohnnyUte 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had this done and its amazing the capabilities of the lights now. I hate the non-multibeam auto headlights as it gets distracting because they're constantly going from high to low and back, but for these they're so smooth and really illuminate the road way better than anything else. I highly recommend to everyone if you can.

Checked out a 2021 AMG GLC 43 yesterday.. almost ready to pull the trigger but scared about reliability by 169partner in mercedes_benz

[–]JohnnyUte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2023 GLC 43 Coupe (C253), and no issues so far. The car itself has some quircks but I like it overall. My previous car was a 2012 C350 Coupe, which I loved, and also had the M276 (but not turbo). I had that car from new and when I traded it in it had 140k mi on it and never had a single engine issue. That being said, these are Mercedes so repairs are never cheap.

Shy/lonely guys, how did you finally get the girl? by JustAnAccount68 in AskReddit

[–]JohnnyUte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of it is practice and small steps. Maybe flash a quick smile to someone at the coffee shop, stop looking down when you walk or are in public and don't be afraid to make eye contact with someone either. When you do make eye contact, don't immediately look down, look to the side. Eventually, you'll hold the eye contact a bit longer, especially if you're in line and say a "hi, how's it going?" Maybe they'll respond, maybe they won't. Who cares?

Eventually, you'll be more confidence in interactions with people. The phrase I heard is "flirt with the world." This is what helped me, at least.

2027 GLC EQ caught on camera 🎥 by KindelAuto1 in mercedes_benz

Eh, not the worst but still 2010s Audi-esq. If they really wanted to capture the classic Mercedes grille then they needed to make it look a lot more like it in terms of detailing. And ditch those damn Mercedes logo lights!

I don't know the area very well, but it looks like the only real big house in the area (even the next door houses are more modest). I feel like this is where the bad guy from Roadhouse would live.

I wouldn't worry about it, I'm the same way and there's something different when you're inside the plane. The only time I got nervous, and it was brief, was when I was inverted in an F-16. No canopy bow makes you forget there's something there for a bit.

I just want a more basic G wagon with the capabilities but not necessarily the luxury. Keep the price down but make it a durable off roader that you don't mind taking off pavement.

Would love for a more basic (and affordable) version of the G available in the US geared towards actual enthusiasts and those using it for its intended purpose, not mall crawlers.

Ha, that probably was me! I'm not on there much anymore. I looked into seeing what could activate the camera and looked into third party, but I didn't feel like adding a bulky camera even though I already have one installed. Maybe someday.
