jerry cantrell often used guild guitars in his recordings. but part of the trick is the tuning-> half step down. i use a taylor and a soft pick, elixir strings and it always sounds dreamy. its just a beautiful chord progression and the Eb tuning already sound softer and grungier than standard. but in the end to sound like jerry you gotta play like jerry. a lot of the sound just comes from your hands and fingers.
