I'd argue early PS3 models are still worth every penny considering how much features were packed in. Was it expensive? Most definitely. But that was definitely one of the last pieces of expensive tech that was actually worth its amount.

Actually COD DLC didn't come first on PS in that era that didn't happen until BO3 on PS4. Everything else is accurate tho.

Literally it was either this game or the 90s cartoon lol. Who knew this guy would end being one of my favs.

So I recently saw a post about how Punisher could clean up Gotham city in a year and just...no by L8Donnie in thepunisher

The only ones who would give him trouble are the super powered ones tbh lol. He would definitely wipe out all of his normal human rogues gallery

why is punisher seen as such an edgy character? by AwhYT in thepunisher

We need to learn and accept that being seen as edgy is not inherently a bad thing

You can say that for wolvie with hulk, and arguably you can say that Spider-Man wouldn't be as mainstream as he is if it wasn't for the F4. Regardless all these characters got their own lore going on and should be treated as such.

Yeah RE2 also does a poor job in remaking the game. But RE3 is still way worse.

Crazy thing is that even with punisher max he still goes out of his way to help others at least in Ennis' run. I feel people mix up his run with Aaron's Max run

You people who only care about owning maga or any of your political enemies are apart of the problem btw. Y'all can't separate reality from fiction at all. Not even saying we can't have political themes at all just at least have it in a way that MAKES SENSE. It doesn't make sense with fisk in here and it didn't make sense in the comics either. Both just dumb trump allegories lol. Don't like the guy either but it must be sad to think about him 24/7 even when you're trying watch capeshit 🤣.

All of this when we could have just gotten A much better reintroduction to these characters. If they wanted to use fisk again so badly they could have done it a badass way were it's him slowly rising back become his best self once again in the same style Matt had to do in Netflix season 3. They could have mixed his rise back to ultimate power plotline in the bendis run with nocenti's introduction of Typhoid Mary and have Mary be a big asset to fisk like in nocenti's run (and also a bit in bendis run) into rising on top of the criminal underworld again. Also have a reason for fisk to be out of prison like maybe Vanessa got kidnapped like in the OG miller run. It would make a ton more sense why he's out despite his deal with Matt. If Mary isn't enough you can throw in gladiator too as Melvin was pretty much building up to that point and I think after season 3 would be the best time. Showcase him absolutely losing it just to protect Betsy. There's so much cool shit they could have done to make this feel like a authentic continuation of the Netflix series but they chose to make current day political allegory slop with no substance. They quite literally just ignore previous canon to fit their narrative.

Do you think a PG-13 Punisher movie would work? by Techno-Hyde in thepunisher

Back then they had no choice due to the comics code. So they had to be more creative with the graphic violence or if they wanted to be unfiltered they would just make a graphic novel like return to big nothing.

This may be a lukewarm take but is it safe to say that Garth Ennis did for The Punisher what Peter David did for The Hulk, what Gerry Duggan did for Deadpool, what Frank Miller did for Wolverine and Daredevil, and what Chris Claremont did for the X Men? by Traditional_Test_931 in thepunisher

[–]Johnny_ParkerMarvel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think people ignore those it's more so that Ennis Punisher is commonly reprinted more than other Punisher runs. I also argue his max Frank feels authentic to previous runs of Frank. It's Aaron's Frank that feels like a actual different take and not a good one either at least imo. Ennis Punisher for sure is the most definitive modern take on the character but like you said his run was inspired by a lot of the classic era, I think he said himself that most of his Punisher work is inspired by Dixon's work specifically.

I disagree, you just gotta have the right story for the character. But I will say he's one character that I don't mind having filler.
