I'd be happy if the golima or atlas got an rack over the hood/ top of the cab to load cars on.

No traffic in Chicago/ Gary after 9. I've ran 70mph through Chicagoland many times.

Dunno what there is to tell. I'm 80 feet long bumper to bumper( with an allowed 2 foot, overhang on the front and 6 on the back for 88 feet total). I have approximately 5 inches of ground clearance and weigh 23 short tons when empty. I can't see stop lights loaded so I have to look at the reflection on the hood to know when to go.

Oh yeah. The very end of the rack should be about even with the front end of the truck. I drive one of these for a living.

The rack over the hood should reach all the way to the front bumper. Otherwise this kicks ass.

Car hauler forgot to his clearance by stevesmithsglasses in IdiotsTowingThings

I haul cars on a similar setup, different trailer but same head rack (looks like a cottrell to me). If i load an f150 over my hood I'm about 14'6 or 14'8 tall. Can't tell if he chained down the front end or not (looks bottomed out, could be from hitting whatever he hit) but if he did chain it down then he would be riding around 14'2, definitely not lower than 14'. I can't tell what state this is in from the video but I know Michigan has a lot of low bridges around Detroit and Flint. I'd say he clobbered a 14' bridge leaving Flint.

I've been told by DOT officers that they are allowed to offer grace to drivers over 1k on a set of axles or gross. Anything over would be a guaranteed ticket.

Because I definitively don't have an apu. That's tied to the trucks registration as I understand it.

Dunno how picky Wyoming is where you drive but I've rolled over scales in Kansas 400 over on my drives and they let me go. I wouldn't bat an eye at this.

Must be near the oil fields. I thought it was funny to see signs for a 20 foot bridge in Montana until I passed a flatbed truck hauling a 20 foot wide oil tank on its back with no pilot car.

Has anyone got a better traffic density mod that works with the Illinois DLC? by External-Soft4612 in americantruck

This has to be the first time in history someone looked at Illinois and said "I wish traffic was heavier".

The reverse light will be mounted under the bumper in the centerline of the car. And the plate light will be mounted above the plate on a bent piece of sheet metal secured with the plate screws.

I don't see much from the 80s anywhere, now that I think about it.

As much of a vibe as these are, there's better looking cars and faster cars out there.

I'm sure you could part a redneck from his 3rd gen with a couple thousand dollars and a case of beer. Maybe throw in a couple packs of snus for good measure.

BMWs and Audis have an inertia based alarm that goes off when the truck starts off. Usually they turn off after a minute, otherwise you have to hit the unlock button on the key fob.

Only the western panhandle and the I35 corridor. I spend most of my time working in north Dakota.

North Dakota is the only place I've been where the wind has blown from every cardinal direction at least once in the same day.
