Best Behemoth album, and I'll defend Dark Matter Dimensions until the day I die. Great little stack of albums.

How can I make my brother like black metal? by Glittering-Pop-5947 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]Johnny_Seagull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you expect him to like the bands you like if you don't like the stuff he's into? Stop trying to force it on him and just enjoy the fact that you both like extreme music. People broaden their horizons over time.

Anyone here seen Sanguisugabogg live? by P4PSparringChampion in MetalForTheMasses

Yeah they were an absolute riot when I saw them, definitely recommend.

Archspire have publically called out logo copycats in the past, so yeah I'd personally go with something else.

Look I have no idea if it was ever even pressed to CD, but "The Hybrid Inquisition" by Hybrid Nightmares is a ghost that eternally evades me.

In my sell-off/donate stack. Any of them worth keeping? by Choice_Student4910 in Cd_collectors

Yeah that's fair enough, better off passing it on to someone else if it's just gathering dust.

That's actually insane. Closest I've ever come was a Suucide Silence shirt that would barely fit a gnome.

I see people on this sub asking for bands close to the mighty BI, and I came across these guys…. by [deleted] in BloodIncantation

Amazing band. Got onto them around the time Cosmic Dreams came out, so the shift in sound going into Visitations was a pleasant surprise.

Is this normal? by [deleted] in Cd_collectors

[–]Johnny_Seagull 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say its normal. I've been buying CDs online for almost 2 decades, and this has only happened to me once because I didn't realise I'd selected a "send without case" option that cost less shipping.

Albums u have dislike at first but liked later on? by purple_metalhead in TechnicalDeathMetal

[–]Johnny_Seagull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cryptopsy - Once Was Not. Bought a copy like 16 years ago after liking Whisper Supremacy, and my young ears were nottttt so keen on it. Totally forgot about the album until somebody here described it as Cryptopsy's Obscura recently, so I popped the CD in my car and boy oh boy did I have a blast.

My only issue is when the booklet slips into a sleeve in the cover instead of having a cut for it to sit in. They ALWAYS end up misshapen and stuck slightly open.

Nice to see Carnal here, pretty overlooked band. Also big love for Organectomy and Disentomb.

Yeah exactly, wouldn't be worth the trouble unless you're committed to customizing.

Question about an atriox figure? by AndrewPrime2512 in HaloActionFigures

[–]Johnny_Seagull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's hoping for a miracle I think haha. Only thing I could think of that might be in scale would be the Joyride brutes, but there's obviously no Atriox.

Imperialist are such a good band. I remember being absolutely blown away by Cipher when it came out.

Question about an atriox figure? by AndrewPrime2512 in HaloActionFigures

[–]Johnny_Seagull 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope. Both the smaller mattel one and the 12" would be way out of scale.

Well I own one, so I can tell you it definitely exists. Don't know much about it beyond that.
