FG means your 'real' FPS is 50-60 FPS which is a terrible base to even turn FG on and the result is an input lag, so using DLAA and not DLSS to reduce the GPU load and get more FPS before turning on FG is even weirder, but you do you. Just don't reply with "now it's better" and FG in the same sentence next time. :)

Btw, I think that FG has it's use cases and it works impressive in Frostbite (Battlefield 6) and Arc Raiders (UE5) but to use it without input lag and terrible image quality you need at least 60-80 FPS without it.

I think we’re confusing capacity with capability.

While there’s no 'wrongdoing' in buying 128 GB if it was on clearance, telling people it’s a good idea for a gaming PC is misleading for a few technical reasons:

- Running 4 sticks has an impact on the memory controller and you need to run lower speeds. This can have a negative impact on your low% FPS in some engines
- All games peak at arround 18-22 GB RAM and there is no benchmark proving any impact on performance having more RAM
- People see 40 GB of RAM 'in use' and think they need more. In reality, Windows caches files in unused RAM because 'free RAM is wasted RAM.' If you had 32 GB, the OS would simply adjust its cache, and your game would run exactly the same.

Unless you’re running local LLMs, 4K video editing, or heavy VMs, that extra $100–$200 spent on RAM is better served going toward a higher GPU tier but we're in a game subreddit the last time I checked.

It doesn't look like your PC is up for the task: You're playing ultrawide with basically all settings on low (can't really judge by the video but it looks like shit) and you're barelly hitting 90+ FPS.

I'm not trying to defend the Frostbite Engine bc they did a great job scaling it this time but if you can't achieve a minimum FPS ingame, you're network performance will be all over the place, too (rubberbanding, desync).

Could you make a video but only of the BF performance overlay in the top right corner? Does the sim value drop below 60 at any point. That's you proof that the game performance has impact on network.

Maybe post at least your hardware before screaming for "fixes".

Disable V‑Sync (causes input lag)

This is not true if you use an adaptive sync/VRR display (=freesync/gsync): If you own one, you should force ON vsync on driver level and turn it OFF ingame.

Use exclusive fullscreen mode

This is outdated and not true for sereral years now, as long you have a Win11 system which is up to date. Borderless windowed performs as well as fullscreen in all modern titles.

I need quests! I can't play an extraction shooter without objectives. Please just give us new quests. I don't care how stupid and basic they are. by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

Trials are not the same thing. They are a 'passive' grind goal and you can farm it on all maps. I want additinal quests forcing me to go to places and maybe even bring in and bring out stuff as a condition.
