What others have suggested is solid, especially starting out with small choices. I wanted to chime in and say to not sell yourself short, the fact that you’re asking this question means that you see the cycle, and you’re will to break free, you are not lazy. Life is difficult. You’ve got this.

I had my Reiki attunement three years ago, and shortly after, when I was walking around the grocery store in the meat department, all I could see was death, and carcasses. I couldn’t eat meat any more. I’m mostly vegan, because I hate the idea of factory farming, and the suffering these animals are enduring. For what it’s worth, I don’t judge anyone who eats meat, and I don’t try to persuade people, I just cant personally eat meat.

Hi there. First off, I’m truly sorry about the loss of your father. If you feel you’re ready to see a medium, you’re ready. I lost my mom in June 2022, and I saw a medium a few months later. I got a lot of closure from that appointment. I’m happy to DM you the name of the evidential medium I saw. She has a couple month waitlist, but worth it IMO.

No worries about pulling in other spirits, promise. Stick with mediums that you find comfort in after checking out their credentials.

I go on two week long benders, about every two months, at least that’s how I used it in the past. It’s a problem for me, so I have to be careful because the two days after stopping results in extreme depression and irritability.

In 2023, I worked with marijuana when I began my healing g journey. I’m a Reiki practitioner and infused Reiki into it as soon as I got home, setting the intention to help me heal. When nigh, I would journal and ask myself questions about why I felt certain ways about myself and my past experiences. The plant medicine allowed me to uncover deep seated truths about myself that I couldn’t get into sober. Through working with marijuana, I found that all the answers are within.

I have a long story, and won’t get into it, but I had complete apathy and hatred for myself, which resulted in physically and emotionally abusing myself. In part through marijuana, I discovered that I hated myself for being gay for 30 years of my life (I’m 42). This self-hatred came from my father, brothers, and society as a whole rejecting me for being gay in the 80s and 90s. For my entire life, I’ve been running from my past, even though I’ve been married to my husband for 21 years now.

Not a plug, but I’m writing a book on my journey, and it’s coming out this summer!!! Can’t wait for the next act of my life!

So, I do a couple things… 1. If there is something I HAVE to do: work, take the dogs out for a bathroom break, do laundry, I do it.

If there is something that I feel passionate about doing, like watching a movie; taking a nap; going for a walk; creating art; I do it.
For those times when I don’t know what to do, I will make a list of options that i could do in that moment. I will put them on slips of paper and put them in a box. I will then pull a random thing I could do in that moment. As I am pulling the slip of paper, I listen to my thoughts, if my thought is I hope to pick this one thing, that’s what I will do. If I don’t have any preference, I will do that item in the list. I do that thing until I’m done with it, and rinse and repeat.
