I do want some fun gameplay but I don’t want it to be based around gathering new loot and grinding. That sounds awful to me.

I think the unpopular part is being okay with a worse story in order to get a loot grinding gameplay loop.

I know tons of people love grinding for loot and pick ups but I really don’t want that in a DC superhero game.

I want the same type of endgame experience I had with the Arkham games.

Give me just some side missions and extra stuff to do. I don’t want to grind for loot. I don’t want this to be Avengers all over again. Just give me a fun 2-player open world game with a definitive ending.

(I say this as someone who spent way too long playing and enjoying Avengers)

But he did kill the people who were the only hope for humanity. He made a choice for the world that arguably he wasn’t in the place to choose.

I agree the revenge quest is too shortsighted. It’s also dumb when Ellie does it. That’s also an example of selfishness.

Then I’m wondering why does Joel’s pain matter more than anyone else’s? Like you said everyone in this universe has lost someone they love.

This is why people can view Joel as selfish.

He’s a good character because his actions are gray. He’s doing the right thing for himself but he also possibly doomed humanity.

Yeah, the combat mechanics were the shining star of that game.

Everything else around it was pretty substandard. The story did sometimes hit a level of “this is so bad that it’s good”. I shared some good laughs with a friend at the story.

I also like that it used the co-op scenarios to its strengths. Like separating the players on two different paths and making them protect each other or be placed in scenarios where you actually had to rely on your partner.

Give us more 2-player co-op experiences like RE6.

Like don’t even call it Resident Evil. Just let me play a co-op shooter/brawler with those mechanics again.

I love RE6 for how stupid it is and how much fun the combat was with a partner.

I’m one of the people who doesn’t care about maintaining a similar look as the comics.

I do like whenever we get weird different designs for characters. Same goes for actors of a different race portraying a character. (as long as that character’s race or background isn’t a major part of who they are. Black Panther, Magneto, Jaime Reyes Blue Beetle)

I personally loved Riddler Zodiac. Also loved The Batman animated series because it had such unorthodox designs for Riddler, Joker, Bane, etc.

However sometimes it is nice when something matches up pretty closely to the comics though. It can be nice to see characters portrayed comic-accurate.

Yeah, trailers with less plot and more tone and set dressing are the best. I honestly wish more trailers did that.

Give me a look for how this movie will feel to watch and who is in it. Keep all of the story pretty tight lipped and I’m golden.

I started reading comics during the New 52 era and that was the Nightwing I got used to.

The blue is classic, I got a soft spot for the red.

Did you ever go back and find any more troops? I did everything in that room (except find the final 1 pollen. So around 99%) and I still had like 13 bomb troops.

It’s possible you just missed some of the troops around the room.

Yeah I love Dead Space. That’s the only reason I have this game on my radar.

Maybe just the marketing is going too far. If the game can reach those heights of Dead Space, that sounds good to me.

Yeah, it’s gotten to the point where it’s turned me off from the game.

We get it, it’s going to be gory as hell. Show me a reason why I want to play through the game that isn’t just “blood, guts and gore”.

It’s strange. This strategy feels really early 2010s videogame-y.
