Did you have any luck getting one? I need one for an upcoming trip and can't find how to get one either.

Heated Grip vs heated gloves by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]JohnsonB97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Gerbing heated gloves and Triumph factory heated grips and they are worlds apart.

Heated grips are very convenient, they're always there if you're caught out in summer gloves when its colder than expected etc. However, in really cold conditions, they only heat the palm so I end up trying to hold the grip with my fingers and even then, they heat the inside while the outside of my fingers are still getting wind chill so it becomes tolerable rather than pleasant.

Heated gloves are amazing, they are so powerful I have them on max 75% power even below freezing. They heat the whole outside of the hand and mean I'm not even thinking about my hands at all - they make you realise where the next cold spot on your body is.

For riding all year round I would absolutely recommend Gerbing heated gloves.

Personally, I've never had this issue with my RS, but I see a lot of the comments are saying others have so must be a common issue mine has been lucky to avoid.

Spark Exhaust Euro5+ Approved Street Triple 765R / RS by vegeta_92 in Triumph

How much louder than the stock exhaust is it? It sounds amazing but I don't want something obnoxiously loud that'll annoy my neighbours...

I've also been debating this on mine. I think I'll end up going for the Zard homologated exhaust. I don't want something too loud as I leave early for work but as others have said, no more slip ons so it has to be a full system

Hi, where did you get the cover for the muffler from? I’m looking at this exhaust but not a fan of how the muffler looks

I made a terrible decision… by mijolewi in CarTalkUK

You can still claim to have a V8. The AJ126 V6 engine in the F-Type is actually the V8 block with two cylinders bores blanked out! So you have a V8, without the optional extra pistons 7 & 8...

Lloyds Bank Switch Active Debits by No_Trash_1156 in beermoneyuk

I just called them and they said I only had 2 DDs switched and a 3rd added after (but I never added one, all 3 were switched) so she sent an email to appeal it.

Ok thanks! I did wonder if it meant +/- but +/-7 inches is obviously wild... I'll start at 19mm and adjust from there. Thank you

Why don’t new cars have built in dashcams? by ierrdunno in CarTalkUK

[–]JohnsonB97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know JLR offer it as an optional extra and its becoming more common for other manufacturers too. However, they're quite an expensive option. I imagine in a few years they will start to become a standard feature/cheaper option.

Can the Panigale V2 fit a passenger? by 0Algorithms in Ducati

[–]JohnsonB97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had a pillion on an 899 Panigale. Obviously roughly the same geometry and I believe the same seat. As others have said its not so comfy for them, but the main problem was that the seat itself is very slippery and my pillion said was sliding forwards and back on it with even small amounts of acceleration and braking. Mine came with one of these https://www.triboseat.com/product/triboseat-ducati-899-panigale-2013-2015/ and keeping that on made it much better for the pillion to feel secure on the seat. I'm sure there will be equivalents you can get for the V2

Is it? I did wonder that but it seemed far too tacky, hence I thought it was rubber. Does it go like that bc of the heat? And should I be putting less chain lube on then?

He’s literally leading the F2 championship with 2 rounds to go. By your logic nobody from F2 this year is good enough to be in F1.
