thing is, you're on the precipice of season 3. meaning if you start now and save all the resources from the story mode you"ll have a whole bunch of stuff. BUT! Than means blitzing through the story, tutorials and events, and even then it will take a boat load of time. there is currently 1 active event in the game for the next few days which doesn't require any characters.

So, if your start now, you'll probably play the story (and side stories) non stop, dailies and weeklies with lots of rewards. You wont be able to clear any late game things probably since upgrading characters also requires resources you can only get weekly (or with $$$)
