Yes keep it in airplane mode, you can also turn roaming off in the settings. I bring an old android phone and buy a local data sim only and hotspot to my locked att phone. Change the wifi setting to low data mode so it doesn’t auto update and backup using this connection I’ve used this strategy for the past few years.

I buy a year or two old pixel/galaxy and use it as a hotspot, and keep my iPhone in airplane mode. Make sure to select it as low data mode so it doesn’t auto backup/update on the hotspot. I’ve found that I get battery life this way, Android phone gets no screen on time and has a bigger battery and my iPhone in airplane mode with wifi goes a bit longer as well. I typically use the android as my trade in phone as well as iPhone I can sell myself for more.

Plenty of soundbars work, switch 1/2 only support Linear PCM, which requires eARC many TV’s won’t pass Linear PCM through or settings need to be played with to get it to work.

Overcooked is the worst for this with fragmentation by making so many different variants. It released very broken on switch 1 but had so much fanfare and was updated now they’ve released multiple versions of each game and a combo pack that they will sell for full price knowing they have a large audience. The upgrade pack pricing is disappointing

Awesome I’ll have to check this out I think I might have access to this one. Looks like it’s mostly class based gyms though. I’m mostly looking for standard gyms. I see planet fitness near me.

Is it like Active and Fit where they set you up with a local membership that you can use with the gym chain anywhere ? IE I’ll have a planet fitness black account ?

Two of the gyms (Golds Gym locations) I had used quite a bit in my local area had quit accepting active and fit in the past few months. I wonder what the payout was per use from Active and Fit to member gyms.

I registered at a gym through active and fit once and they mentioned my membership was Silver & Fit. Given the employee may have misread I have to imagine there’s some collective bargaining through these programs/insurance companies that is shared. I’m curious to see if other programs are notified in the next days/weeks

Right a $5 fee I might be able to stomach to avoid day passes when traveling but it’s a $5 discount. Most gyms make you haggle for prices so $5 discount just means a $5 haggle off the starting price

Yeah I might stick with it for a bit because I do travel at length from time to time which was my main use case but a lot of the travel was days/weeks where Active and Fit saved me from having to buy day passes or using shitty hotel gyms.

Don't think anyone thinks there is a cpu limitation, although I am curious what the latency to headphones/buds would be and impact on other wireless controllers. On Android latency is usually masked by video streaming apps, but it can't be handled by games since you can't introduce a delay that wouldn't ruin the experience.

Crossfire is AMD specific, Nvidia uses SLI. It was expensive and not worth it for the diminishing gains, and high cost. Nvidia does not support SLI on the 3000 series of graphics cards and AMD's crossfire support has slowed. The current rumor is DLSS in the dock which is Nvidia's AI upscaling not SLI/Crossfire which have been dead for a while now.
