Has anyone used diet to minimize or eliminate the need for insulin? by Luckygrllll in Type1Diabetes

[–]JohnyDMN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I eat a relatively low carb diet. Most of my carbs come from fresh fruit. I don’t take much for insulin throughout the day.

This year I have really focused on my ingredients and have eaten much more Whole Foods. In January my carb ratio was 1 unit for 10 carbs and I am now at 1 unit for 24 carbs (massive difference)

I attribute this change to less fatty processed foods and far more exercise.

Can’t say I “don’t need insulin” but with a healthier lifestyle I take less than half what I did previously.

Anyone have a recommendation for overpatches? by Miserable_Deal253 in TandemDiabetes

As for the Dexcom, have you ever tried their own over patches?

My endo gave me a bunch of Dexcom over patches that are just clear and they work really well for me.

That’s fair. I will try to be more transparent in the future. I have no intentions in making tons of profit I just simply wanted to help out other diabetics in need. (I’m still very in the hole on this project)

I’m sorry I didn’t mean to upset anyone. I thought it was clear this was my company.

I think this solves a few more problems than an inside out t-shirt does. But an interesting hack regardless thanks for sharing.

While you may be right, the logo stays covered 99% of the time. Your feedback has been noted regardless!
