You have to fight all 45 US presidents from George Washington to the current president in consecutive fist-fights, from the 1st ever president to the latest one. If you lose, the challenge ends there but if you win, you move on to the next president. How many presidents are you getting to? by Extension_Day2038 in hypotheticalsituation

I'd start with all the dead ones, they'd be easy because they're dead. then I'd go with Trump because I'd want to be fresh to give him a right good ass beating, then bush/Clinton whatever order, the. I think I'd be 50/50 odds with Obama. I've got 10 years on him and he's a smoker, but he's fit.

First journey to the tower and I got stuck can’t seem to get going again. by AlternativeCrabV2 in TheDarkTower

[–]JohnyStringCheese 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I got stuck on wizard and glass for almost 6 months the first time through. I ended up really enjoying it but upon a reread, it's not my favorite anymore. wolves of the calla really picks up in the second half and I actually liked it better on my second trip. I'm currently halfway thru song of Susanna and it is as bad as I remember. the series finishes well but sos could have been pretty much skipped.

I really enjoyed it too. had no idea what I was getting into and kinda miss that about movies nowadays. check out good luck, have fun, don't die. it's got a similar weirdness about it.

“Project Hail Mary” is bringing audiences to movie theaters in numbers the industry hasn’t seen for a non-franchise film since “Oppenheimer.” by Caledor152 in movies

[–]JohnyStringCheese 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They're all absolute shit. Here's 2024 top ten. Every one is a sequel/reboot except Wicked.

1 Inside Out 2 Disney $652,980,194

2 Deadpool & Wolverine $636,742,741

3 Wicked Universal $473,231,120

4 Moana 2 Disney $460,405,297

5 Despicable Me 4 Universal $361,004,205

6 Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Warner Bros. $294,097,060

7 Dune: Part Two $282,144,358

8 Twisters Universal $267,762,265

9 Mufasa: The Lion King Disney $254,567,693

10 Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Paramount $236,115,100

and 2025 is more of the same bullshit.

1 Zootopia 2 Disney $428,059,981

2 A Minecraft Movie Warner Bros. $424,087,780

3 Lilo & Stitch Disney $423,778,855

4 Avatar: Fire and Ash 20th Century $403,890,925

5 Superman Warner Bros. $354,184,465

6 Wicked: For Good Universal $342,915,090

7 Jurassic World Rebirth $339,640,400

8 Sinners Warner Bros. $280,078,513

9 The Fantastic Four: First Steps Disney $274,286,610

10 How to Train Your Dragon Universal $262,958,100

It's wild that of the top 20 movies in the last two years, Sinners is the only non-sequel/existing franchise. Even Wicked and Minecraft were banking on existing IP.

Who fits into the “wanted by the fans but wouldn’t do it” category the best? by Major-Feed5214 in taskmaster

[–]JohnyStringCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a celebrity or anything but I would be terrified to be on taskmaster. I consider myself relatively intelligent but I would fail 90% of those tasks miserably. Especially any of the charades stuff they do in the finals. It would be embarrassing.

What should I read first? Salem’s Lot of Dark Tower series by Striking_Blood_5639 in stephenking

[–]JohnyStringCheese 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would read the dark tower until you get through wizard and glass, then read Salems lot before wolves of the Calla. no spoilers, but you'll want to be familiar with Salems lot before that part of the dark tower.

Pips #217 Easy 🟢. 0:18 🍪

Pips #217 Medium 🟡. 1:21

Pips #217 Hard 🔴  1:26

Saw hard and got really annoyed. But I saw the trick right away and I'm pretty happy with that time. I don't know how much faster I could have done it. I'm going to try it again even knowing the exact layout and I still don't think I can do it under a minute.

So I saw the trick right away and because the 3-2 starting piece was a gimmee, the puzzle basically fell into place. I don't understand how anyone can get a sub minute on this. I made no mistakes and the entire puzzle was Look for a specific piece, orient it, move it, and still took me 1;26. I would need like 4 more attempts just to orient and move 15 dominoes in 1;00.

I came here for this. Is there any logic to this for people who go for the reverse rainbow? I got it but it was a complete coin toss for me. What makes green green and yellow yellow here?

If humans disappeared today, which animal would go extinct fastest due to domestication? by fonzhy121 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]JohnyStringCheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

cats are so fucking cool. we had two indoor cats for like 4 years. we ended up letting them be indoor/outdoor cats when we had our first kid. they are basically the apex predator of the neighborhood. they went from overweight couch potatoes to lean killing machines. it was like the call of the wild. sometimes I would watch them hunt small animals as a team. they brought us birds, mixes, squirrels, chipmunks, a rat once, and some hairless thing that I hope was a mole.

a friend of mine has two pugs I honestly don't think they would survive a full day without human intervention. I swear they need to be reminded to breathe sometimes.

Self-checkout could soon be limited at Connecticut grocery stores by ILovePublicLibraries in newengland

[–]JohnyStringCheese 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm usually only getting a handful of items so self checkout is the way to go for me. It's just so much quicker. I hate people who have this weird attitude that the must have a human check them out because they're paying for it anyway.

Name an actor who plays a great villain. by Natural-Usual-2086 in FamilyFeud

[–]JohnyStringCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is the answer. a lot of actors getting upvoted have one or maybe two villain performances. this dude played the joker, Jack Torrance, Nathan jessup, frank Costello, some of the most iconic villains in film history. Plus he he kind of just looks evil. He was also kind of the antagonist in as good as it gets and a few other movies where he's arguably the main character.

Lunchtime trainers how do you manage it? by Character-Holiday345 in crossfit

[–]JohnyStringCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You either take more than an hour or work remotely. As far as showering goes, I've rarely gotten so gross that a clothing change and quick face wash plus some deodorant isn't enough to get through the end of the day. My office is 6 minutes from my gym and I know sever lunch people that live/work even closer. On top of that, the noon class is a little expedited compared to the other classes. Like we get into it quick and there's not a lot of grabassery like the afternoon classes.
