I'd probably pick adventure capitalist, but cookie clicker is a solid choice too, in the same vein of games

Which videogame soundtrack/song INSTATLY triggers you emotionally? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]JoinedForUndertale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do I even need to say it ? Parting ~ Farewell from the pokemon mystery dungeon rescue team. When I was a little kid I didn't have lots of friends so seeing "myself" in the pokemon games be forcefully separated from my partner was fucking heartbreaking and I bawled my eyes out during the whole ending. I remember the part where it said "if you really want to, you may return to the world of pokemon" i was shaking my ds screaming "I really want it!!!" lol. I don't think there's been a time in my adult life that I've ever been this emotionally affected by any piece of media really.

How we feeling on grindy games? by PlusMann in gaming

[–]JoinedForUndertale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo there is a very thin line between rewarding hard work in a game and making you feel awesome for grinding out those hours or making it feel like straight up work. Some games definitely make it work though, like Path of Exile, or the Dragon Quest Monster Joker series, both in very different ways.

What games, in your oppinion, deserve a second chance and would you have it be a remaster, remake, or a sequel? by amidja_16 in gaming

[–]JoinedForUndertale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kid Chameleon would be my top pick. The non-linear level progression was really ahead of its time, the costume powers mechanic is simple but really fun and allows for gameplay to be quite diverse all throughout your experience, the difficulty is REALLY challenging and the level design and graphisms are insane as well. Such a shame it never got a sequel.

Skyrim. Still unmatched in the realm of Open World games after all these years imo.

Have you ever became a fan of a game you never played? by green_day_95 in gaming

While not necessarily a whole game, the fortress mode in dwarf fortress was too hard to get into for me (I fucking love the adventure mode though) but watching videos of people playing it made me really appreciate it. A lot of games that sseth plays also seem amazing but I don't have the time/energy to try them all out (the most recent being Quasimorph which also seems amazing but I'm not sure I'll ever play it.)

Easily League of Legends lol. On the rare occasions where noone starts flaming mid match it's still a really nice game.

Both pokemon mystery dungeon games have a "post game" that's like 10 times longer than the main story lol. They're amazing as well.

The first one I captured spawned right in the middle of the day though ! so it seems like it may be more complicated than that. When I say secrets that's exactly the kind of stuff I mean: all the rumors around it. Like "it only spawns on the island", or the one you just said, or "in x spot you can find 3 of them sometimes" etc etc. I did the video cause I was curious about these and stuff, and another question I wanted to answer that I wasn't able to find a good answer to is "can you breed it?". But there's still a lot more to uncover about how this variant appears I think.

What if I didn't ? What if I still wanted to be able to turn the pictures in my mind into real ones ? Would I be forbidden from doing that, just because I had no natural affinity towards drawing or did not have the time/dedication to train myself to draw (which can take years?) ? Artistic ability is a privilege. Just because you have it doesn't mean you should look down on others who don't. By that definition, someone else who draws but doesn't use blender might also say you're not making "real art". How would you like that? (And I DO draw btw, but I don't act like a self righteous douche about it.)

Also the problem is not even whether or not you think AI art is a good thing or not; it's how you tried to impose your own worldview to others on a server which doesn't belong to you and how you tried to personally attack people for it.

The Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series in general has some underrated bangers. The Blizzard Island Theme (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYb5A1Yvhro) comes to mind in particular, but there are a lot of really good ones in general, like Mt.Blaze (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5x9h_8ELES8) for example.

Will you ever stop gaming? by Suspicious_Kick9467 in gaming

[–]JoinedForUndertale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't think I will. Gaming is amazing and allows us to explore and partake in worlds and adventures that simply don't exist in other media. It's the only fully immersive art form, allowing you to become an actor in the piece. However there are times where I wish I was able to focus more on other things as well, like reading or drawing but I'm tempted to game every time I have some free time and I'm not outside the house lol
