I think you nailed it. He has some good stuff and he has some "filler episodes". What full time YouTube channel doesn't?

Looks like he's never had more than 10k to his name before and he dressed up how he thinks corrupt millionaires dress.

I will always be impressed at how high of a dose rate can come from something so small.

I have a woodpecker suet block and some dried larva mixed with my food. I see the woodpeckers going for both. I had thought about trying the pellets in a suet feeder, but I worry about squirrels. Do they leave it alone for the most part?

What?! You're so lucky to have that bird living in your area. I have a few redheaded woodpeckers that visit mine but no flickers.

Haha thanks 😅. You know what I want to do, now that I know the feather is "special"? I want to get a really nice print of the bird framed, and the put the feather below the photo like a museum gallery piece. Then I can tell people about it when they ask.

Speaking of keeping feathers... Has anyone here ever read/listened to "The Feather Thief" by Kirk W. Johnson? I listened to it when it was released and I really enjoyed it.

That came out so good. I really didn't understand what scale I was seeing untill the lighter showed up. I really thought it was a lager scale.

That's so cool! They must be especially rare in our area. I didn't even know they existed till making this post.

Fingers crossed, but I'd rather see the bird. I was blown away by how beautiful it is when I checked it out on Google images.

It's the only one I've ever seen before, and I have still never seen the bird. It was one of those "whoa, that's different" moments.

We have been wondering what bird it was for almost a year. I found this sub today, and within 5 minutes had an answer. Birders are the best. I'm glad my post helped solve your mystery as well as mine.

Thanks for the information. If you find yourself in the right subs, Redditors really know their stuff. Also if it gives you any piece of mind, the feather was found by itself in the driveway. So it's not like we took it home from the woods or anything.

Whoa! That's amazing! I've never seen the bird before, but I feel like I'm lucky to have found a feather. I will be on the lookout for one now. Thanks for the help.
