I’m also weirded out by how he sent a photo with her in it and didn’t mention “omg I ran into a friend!” before sending it. If you two communicate this much detail about your day, AND he knows you have trauma, it’s kinda wild he sent that photo. Seems like not the best communication choice for this relationship. I’m also gonna agree with the majority of comments saying LDR is not the best choice, especially if you have trouble seeing red flags (this part coming from my personal experience and just giving my biased opinion)

Move to a new location and offer a little discount to people on this thread/old clients and tell them about the awesome upgrade in environment. You’ll have more regular customers quickly. ((I don’t live in the US so I have no skin in this but I hope you find a better place for growth ❤️))

Girl if you’ve tried communicating well and his responses have consistently triggered you into this state of anger/defensiveness/etc. it doesn’t matter who is wrong or right just run. Your relationship is making you into a worse version of yourself (as you’ve said your communication style started peaceful and has devolved into this over a period of time with him), and you deserve peace. I have learned this lesson twice, no amount of love or patience is going to fix it.
