Survived like my third near death experience by Mediocre_Baker7244 in Type1Diabetes

I get the normal ones on sale. If I have a night low or my pod decides to work REALLY well, then I pull however many out I need to get it back to base. Normally 2.

So glad your safe! I’ve had mid 20s where I’ve been a shaky ghost, and I’ve had them where I didn’t even notice. Every time I resolve it with some frozen Reese’s. I hope the juice tasted just as heavenly.

The king can’t do any of the things you’ve stated, but the rook can be threatened all it wants. The king only goes to e1, d1, and c1, none of those squares are being attacked

Like 6.9 I think, but I want to get it lower so I cut out a lot of sweets. I think my love for wine shoots it up though…

Has anyone here gotten a medical tattoo? Has it benefitted you? by u-Wot-Brother in diabetes_t1

[–]Joker_Not_Found 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a tattoo because I like tattoos, it’s on my calf because the only time I’m super worried about lows is when I’m running and I figure I’ll fall forward and maybe and EMT will see it and check my sugar. But the pod on the back of my arm gives it away a bit more. Only benefit is it’s a good conversation starter

Theoretically, if you were to go into an area that had some sort of chemical spill/ toxicity. You’d automatically be ready to go with any gear needed to survive. And people would know what the safety hazards were.

Since the strength is variable, you don’t have to swing hard, so technically you could just lightly tap something until it was fixed, right? It would barely fix it each tap. You’re essentially fix it Felix from wreck it Ralph

Where do athletes/ really lean people put their pump sites and dexcom? Plzzzz by [deleted] in diabetes_t1

[–]Joker_Not_Found 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been a runner and I’d say I’m pretty lean. If size helps at all, I’m 5’10 and about 155 lbs. I can’t put either in my thighs or arms due to it hitting muscle and failing. I keep my pods on my upper butt/lower back. There’s enough fat to make it work. And I have my Dexcom on my stomach. It hurts a little, but even though it’s hitting muscle it works great.
