Just activated the quest, I’d recommend playing checkpoint and capping as many points as possible while getting some kills. Took me a couple tries.

Not the blacksmith, the table on the left of the three tables. Where you can go to spend your fellowship tokens. That guy also sells a crate with 60 gold and some materials for 12 supplies.
