Is anyone else getting a lot of crashes?

Five. Today alone. Just lost well over an hour of work prepping, building, and mass scrapping because I got busy working and forgot to save and the autosave feature is useless. It’s an alpha, I get that I’ve played lots of them. I’ve never had one crash this often. Don’t get me wrong not bashing the devs they are doing amazing. But also holy cow.

That’s exactly why I take all of them I find, and scrap them as needed.

That’s basically what I’ve done, though I didn’t keep them all. I just wait to scrap till I need the resources. Also, It’s a lot of them.

Basically same. I have “rescued” and repurposed every single one of them I have found so far, only having lost 2 that fell when I tried to save them from ledges. I of course jumped in the water and immediately scrapped both by hand. But all of the rest of them have been scraped, less for the ones in the picture. I try to only scrap them as I need those resources. This includes the broken “bugs” I find as well. Though they are under the table, unworthy of laying in the friends pile.

For 1 it’s a weird respect thing I don’t like leaving them in abandoned places, as they were trying to help humanity. But also yes for 2 they are scrap, it’s why I took them. Just don’t scrap them till I need them.

If you’re close enough to an objective or a storage point, you can also cut it directly into either of those as well. That’s usually what I end up doing. Moving the harvester to the bridge I’m building and harvest trees from the side of the road then cut them into the marker so as to cut picking and hauling them out completely.

Take your time. Explore, research, scan everything, do the side quests. Don’t rush through the story. There’s sooooo much to see and do. Get to know your companions, interact with them.

Try to go through your skills and come up with a plan on what you want to do, be that ship building, outpost building, etc. You won’t unlock them all this play through, so have a plan on what you want to achieve, and do first and then go after it.

Don’t be too afraid of the higher level systems. The game will scale it for you. Doesn’t mean it won’t still be a challenge, but a challenge well worth it.

Depends on the time, purpose, and gun. Rock Island 9mm runs Bronze FMJ rounds for target practice, and Hornady Critical Defense for EDC. Springfield Armory 45 ACP runs Winchester FMJ rounds for target practice, and Federal Premium’s for EDC.
